This was a fun day for me fishing at bountiful pond in Utah. Since this video I’ve learned how to safely net the fish I release so fish on and have a fun time out there , life’s too short to be cranky

That’s a good stocked Walmart. Mine has nothing like that. Or just plain nothing. Awesome video

Started watching your video and as soon as I recognized those mountains behind you I knew you were in Utah near Bountiful. Lived there when I was a kid. Sure miss those views and the great fishing. Thanks for the vid.

Hey! Great video!!! I like how you show everything form purchase to application. You took a lot of time to plan this out. Great enthusiasm as well. Thanks for the tips.

Good video. Really enjoyed it. But remember a trout is not a bass. Don't lip it if your going to release.

Thank you for the tip. A combination of 2 excellent baits. A microscopic swim bait.

Great tip, ty. I can see why you " catch and release" , .... @ 4:54 looks to be a Dill doe floating and a lot more trash too. Kinda didn't want to mention it but wheww that looks terrible in the middle of a decent vid.

I was at Bountiful Lake two days ago and caught Flatheads right next to the boating ramp. Also caught a carp on the south end of the lake by the dock. Is there a specific spot on Bountiful lake that you like to fish for trout?

Great video and tips! I use the Gulp 1" smelt all the time, they're great! Never though of using it with the Trout magnet which is the perfect sized jighead! Trying this out this weekend! 😃🐟🎣

So its just minnow and float about 18" up with no weight?

Hey liked your video also there is a bobber made by betts which has a rattle in it it is made for crappie fishing just don’t tell the trout but think about it a little rattle with a power bait below or a pink power worm ringed with hook point in egg sack toward head of worm it fishes horizontally and drifts down think about it

The free float does the line go into the plastic tube hole? Or just the float itself and put the tube back on?
@gtfoutdoors19685 жыл бұрын
Ninja k I prefer to peg the float in one spot and adjust it as needed to the strike zone, hope that helps you out, fish on 🎣
@kdpuffer15 жыл бұрын
These floats are actually supposed to be used by threading the line through the peg while in the float. Then to secure it you pull the peg out and pull a loop in the line and pinch it between the peg and float. This prevents losing parts and also allows the float to release on the hookset if you are fishing deeper so you can reel the line in further.

With the trout magnet, do you need to jig it at all or do you simply leave it alone once its been cast?
@gtfoutdoors19685 жыл бұрын
I absolutely love jigging this all the way back like a wounded minnow! Strikes after strikes. I’m a firm believer if the fish are there they will bite this.
@greaserbubtheoriginal79235 жыл бұрын
hey let me give you a tip put 1 or 2 wax worms or maggots on the hook of the trout magnet you will catch 3 times more fish
@outdoorsanimalsandmusic30142 жыл бұрын
You should try feather or hair jigs in 1/80th to 1/100th. You have to tie them yourself though but I’ve been slaying. The overall jig length with the hair is less than an inch. The trout love it!

Where In bountiful pond? Also when did you film that video?
@gtfoutdoors19686 жыл бұрын
At the North east portion of Bountiful Pond is a parking lot with a stream running parallel to it. That stream feeds into the pond which is the reason so many fish are found right at the inlet, try it out and let me know how well you did, fish on brother
@gtfoutdoors19686 жыл бұрын

@xchunter97735 жыл бұрын
I've been using this rig for years. Best if used with 4 lb test line. And with no bobber. I use a 9 ft rod and jig the heck out of it and slaughter the trout.
