Oh man just found this video! Thanks for going through this! Just one note of something I totally forgot to teach in my tutorial at 5:26. If you want to do this move super speedy, you really have to control that falling packet, as it can sometimes do weird shit. What I do is use my right ring finger to guide that packet into position, and push it down onto the left hand packet to square it up faster. Great job!

If I could add a thing, I would say that instead of the right hand going in circles, think of it more as a swaying motion. If you look at the original tutorial, you'll feel that the performance is a little different. That's because there is a slight motion of the left hand too; a slight up and down during the scissor cut. It makes the move much more mesmerizing. Btw, love your content

Question: If you look at the cards at 4:36 you have a heart, a spade and a diamond showing but then all of a sudden at 4:41 there is a 2nd pack of cards in your right hand - between your thumb and pointer finger - it just magically appears and it's not any of the cards showing at 4:36 so can you please explain which of the packs in your right hand is supposed to move to your left hand. This is the pack that you are going to do the scissor cut with. I just can't figure out where it came from.
@cam68085 жыл бұрын
Its there the whole time???
@wendyvank5 жыл бұрын
@@cam6808 No, the cards totally change as do the positions. Go to 4:38 and slow it down and by 4:40 it's a completely different shot -
@arthurrtang96702 жыл бұрын
@@wendyvank here I am 2 years later to respond to your comment, I am guessing you may have figured it out, but regardless, I think the camera cut at that point. The packet you will scissor cut with, regardless of what the bottom card is should still be the same as it was in that video (3 of spades before the camera cut, 6 of hearts after the camera cut ).

My problem is that I have short fingers as well as bony finger pads that make spinning or rotating cards on the tips of my fingers difficult. Wish they made a slighter smaller deck for practicing before moving to a regular deck.
