The BEST Two Player Games | Gameschooling with 2 Players

Jessica, I know I'm not supposed to, but I absolutely envy your game collection! My older kids tease me about our ever growing collection, and I just clap back with, "I still don't have as many as Jessica".😅 I'm homeschooling our almost 10 yo caboose. The older kids have graduated, and some have even moved out. I find myself being the only one available to play games with our youngest a lot. Our favorite 2 player games right now are: Azul, Azul Summer Pavillion, Sequence, Tapple, Sorry, Really Loud Librarians, Stratego, and Quixx. And I forgot to add my son's absolute favorite game, Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza. It's such a good game for visual discrimination. I don't know what it is about that darn gorilla, but I always just shake my fists in the air when I see him. We always end up laughing so hard when we play this game. It's fantastic!!

Our favorite two players right now are Patchwork, Odins Ravens, and Onitama. We really enjoy Sequence, Skyjo, King & Queen Domino, and Tapple. Not just two players but work well for two.

My little peanut is only 3.5 so haven’t used any of these in a homeschooling context yet but I do have some recommendations! My husband and I love board games and it’s our main hobby together (and we mostly play at 2p). Here are some I would recommend for families with kids Emily’s age that play well at 2: - Lost Cities (2p only) - Calico - Wingspan - Horrified - Point Salad - Project L - Raptor (2p only) - Tiny Towns - KLASK - Boop or the Halloween themed BOOoop (2p only) - King of Tokyo - My Little Scythe - War Chest (2p only)

Codenames Duet is a lot of fun and great vocabulary practice. We also like Dragonwood and cribbage.

We really like Ecologies (that has a solitaire option as well) and Guess Who. 7 Wonders Duel is fun with my older kids too.

My daughter likes playing monopoly with me so we play it just like a 2 player game
