Just found your channel this week and am catching up. We are planning AK in a truck camper and hopefully South Africa for the penguins and Kenya for safari. Anyways, thanks for all the info & entertainment and what 'Big Boy lens' did you get? - western NY Troy & Aimee
@Meghanandmatt Жыл бұрын
That’s awesome! AK and South Africa were both two of our favorite places we’ve been. For Alaska we bought the sigma 150-600 f/4.5-6.3 sports lens but sold that before traveling internationally because it was too bring to carry with us and it’s not the most optimal for safari. I bought a tamron 50-400 f/4.5-6.3 specifically for our South Africa trip and safari and it worked great. The animals are usually pretty close to the trucks so having that huge range was great. And there wasn’t really a point where I needed more than 400mm cause I could use APS-C mode and get that 600mm

Glacier is one of my all time favorite national parks....next time y'all really need to go to Bowman-Kintla area and stop in Polebridge for a bear claw. The best time of year to visit is in September usually....unless there are fires.

Thank you for being truthful about the places you eat, I appreciate that. I almost didn't want to watch the glacier park part, because I haven't been there before, but I did and I am so glad you guys got to go.
