For anyone looking to purchase these make sure you search for the upgraded version as the scales take into account the width of the track, the cheaper version requires you to add 20cm when you set the stop.

Just got mine, no instructions was a downside but all pieces are specific so don't take too long to figure it out. Calibration was not so simple using the rods so I had to mark a measurement control line and calibrate to that, but I do not have any other issues with them. A great buy
@Will_craig2 жыл бұрын
Yea i found the same issue as well, using the rod I was still around 2.5mm off. Used a ruler to get it perfect. Not sure why its off maybe the width of the track?

I used a vibrating saw to reconfigure the foam cutout in the original box. It now holds the assembled heads with 1 rail section, calibrated and intact.

Hi Ryan, got mine this week, superb guides, especially like having two stops, saves moving sheets and keeps accuracy spot on. Just buy! No brainer! 👍

Hi allan they are brilliant arnt they and it makes its so much better as they are dirt cheap! Such a bargain! Yep the 2 stoppers is fantastic too and all very accurate when they are calibrated properly 😁👍👍

I've gor the Bench Dogs guides and honestly these seem to be a better design. Particularly the stopper, the Bench Dogs stopper are a bit of a faff.

Seems an improvement would be having hex head (Allen head) screws on the rail brackets. Saying that the Woodpecker uses Philips too (for £500!) which seems a bit poo…

I just got a set of these. Was thinking the same thing about the storage/breaking it all apart. NOT doing that. So, in spite of the nice foam thing it came in I will just make my own storage box for the main section assembled as you indicate. Thanks for the videos on these. Gosh, I had no idea how to properly put this thing together or how to use the thin rip capability. Excellent explanations.
@arinb12 Жыл бұрын
You say to make an initial rip to tidy the edge up but how do you make that a straight cut? I.e. how do you make that a nice straight edge to work for the rest of the cuts then?
@thelondoncraftsmanworkshop Жыл бұрын
Just use the track on its own as close to the edge as possible without the guides 👍

Thanks for sharing! Great price for an absolutely cracking looking tool! I've already got the Benchdogs UK version that I bought last year. Bit of a pain to calibrate, but I keep them set up and in a drawer. Think I paid £120 for them. I've also got the Benchdogs rail square, and I have to say it is much better quality than the parallel guide. I really like the stop system on the Banggood version, particularly the double stop option. 👍

I've heard benchdogs square is very good. Overall I'm super happy with these banggood p guides

Have purchased several tools from banggood and never been disappointed. In fact my Chinese pocket hole jig (metal) is better than the Kreg (plastic) equivalent. The price of UK/US/EU manufactured tools is often far too much for the casual hobbyist who cannot claim tax relief. I usually make a box from MDF or a space in my kaiser foam lined drawers for those tools that don't live on the bench.

Do these work/can these be made to work on Bosch and mafell rails?

Mine arrived yesterday and luckily didn't have to pay any customs charges. The quality seems excellent but my only gripe is they came with no assembly instructions. So thank god for your video. I had to pause your video now and again to see how it all assembled. I only need to calibrate it now but I will do that through the week.

It's the first 2 sections I believe 👍

It's not necessary to have them go any further on the side, it's for narrow rip, the standard scale takes care of wider rips
