Probably the golf course that I learned to play on. University students could play 18 holes for $7 or $8 USD with your University ID...or $10 for the whole day! I used to play all day on Tuesdays, since I didn't have to work and my only class was in the evening! It was a difficult course, but the greens were mostly small ones...& it's where I got so good with my short game...since I missed them so often!

That course looks worth the 50 quid round trip in fuel to play! Unbelievable course for that kind of price. No doubt the greenkeeper is one who does it for the love rather than the money. Great content again guys. Would love to see more footage of the 19th in a spin-off mini series though....meeting golfmates in the bar for a lemonade and a chat. Keep up the excellent work!

Used to play Walton Hall Municipal Golf Course in Warrington quite a lot. That was always a great knock and good nick in all sorts of weather. Didn't cost the Earth and not that far from the Wirral where I live.

Great course. I played a 4 ball texas scramble there so could let the driver go a bit. That first hole in the video I went over the walled garden and ended up just short of the green.

In 1965, my dad and I played the original Waterville Golf course in Co Kerry - before it was developed into its present ritzy state. A guy in wellington boots and a bus conductor's satchel took five bob a head off us!

My local course is £20, but as a pensioner I can play in the week for £18, the greens can still be uncut at lunchtime, the fairways are what I call firstcut, you can lose your ball if it rolls off the fairway, the bunkers are never raked and conpackted builders sand, and playing off the tees can be the hardest shot of the day. I only play it because it's the only course (local) that my wife can walk!

Or for fish lovers Koi’d I muster Then we move on to mentioning the great Dr. Mackenzie …..nearly as often as Dan Hendricksen does on his channel!! Mr Barlow’s birdie was excellent to bring him back into the game. Extra hole just showed off the quality and beauty of the course. There are loads of them like this in S Wales, looked after by quality green keepers and their teams, who have pride in their jobs. You showed that you don’t have to splash the cash to play “bucket list “ courses to have great time. True golfers enjoy these hidden gems all around the country. Looking forward to seeing more of the S Wales tour.
