I have been watching this video for months. Plucking up the courage to do it myself, and I'm happy to say that today, I did it! It turned out great and I want to thank you for your video! I'm amazed how I've made a Pavlova without any egg! It's incredible! 🙌

Was the aquafaba you used room temperature? :) I can't wait to make this for Christmas!
@505giraffe3 жыл бұрын
Ash did it have a soft chewy interior? I’m really curious is the aquafaba creates that or if it’s just hard or airy inside
@sophiegahan41106 жыл бұрын
This is a very good recipe! Just leaving a tip that the makers of the video have a very powerful stand mixer, so you may need to whisk for longer if using a more regular one! 🙂

Hello, your recipe looks amazing. I just tried it and everything was fine at the beginning. I whisked the aquafaba for something about 15 minutes and it formed beautiful peaks and had a wonderful shiny texture but when I put it in the oven the pavlova deflated right before my eyes and turned into a runny mess. I had to throw it away. What did I do wrong? I used a clean bowl, the same amount of sugar. So what went wrong? Any suggestions?

I love the look of this so I gave it a go. I want to know what I did wrong as it looked fantastic, but once in the oven it looked like it was cooking well, but then it become liquod. I did not even get to the end of the cooking time. What did I do wrong?? What temp did the oven need to be??
@clairesharrynroberto6 жыл бұрын
Hey Souzanna, it sounds like your oven may have been too hot - it should be set to 120 C. If you have a fan forced oven, it may be creating too much heat, so I would suggest taking the temp down to 110 C. Hope that helps! Good luck & please let me know how it turns out? x

This looks so amazing! Is there a reason you don't add cream of tartar like a lot of vegan meringue recipes?
@aayushumesh73897 жыл бұрын
Hey! If I'm right, I'm pretty sure that cream of tartar is just to create a more stable whip. But you actually don't need to use it. You can also use an equal amount of vinegar or lemon juice. :)

Thanks for this recipe. Tried making this yesterday. It soon deflated after we finished baking, but it was still tasty, but super sweet! I think we'll try making it again with reduced sugar. Any tips for keeping it from collapsing on itself?

Lower the oven heat, make sure you’ve whipped it 15 mins

Hi, I need help with this...I've tried to make it twice already and it happens the same every time...once in the oven they grow a lot! Which it made me very excited at first but then about 20 mins before the time was done for the backing they went flat and the bottom was watery...what am I doing wrong? I am really impress with the flavour by the way.

Ive tried this twice and both times it flattened. The first time it went flat like a pancake, but when i mounted it on the tray, it was beautiful and glossy. The second time, it went double the size upwards and sideways, and it formed liquid. I found that having it on 120 for 1 hour wasn't enough. Please can you advice me on what am i doing wrong? Appreciate it

HG O buy canned coconut cream and refrigerate for 24 hrs (be gentle with it and do not shake it) and then open it and the cream and liquid will be separate. Scoop the cream out, whip it with beaters and add icing sugar & vanilla essence to taste! So amazing, super cheap & lasts up to a week!

nice- what is the oven temperature in Fahrenheit(could not see the temp. on the video). ounces and cup measurements would be helpful - like how many ounces of aquafaba? should the Aquafaba be cold or room temperature? bowl and equipment cold or room temperature.

I just made this but it turned out a lot more runny? Whisked it on high for about 15 mins and it wasn't getting the stiff peaks. Any tips?
@clairesharrynroberto7 жыл бұрын
Make sure the bowl you are whisking the aqua faba in is very clean and free of any kind of grease, as this can hinder the stiff peaking process. Also, are you using a high powered electric whisk?
@WhenDarknessFalls6 жыл бұрын
Adding cream of tartar can help to stiffen the mixture, iv heard lemon juice can also do the same.
