Ingredients:
For the caramel:
✓ 250 g or 1 cup of sugar.
✓ 62.5 g or 1/4 cup of water from the pineapple cooking (if you use canned pineapple 🥫 you can use that water or plain water).
✓ 1 teaspoon of white vinegar or lemon juice.
🍍For the cake:
✓ 300 g of self-rising wheat flour (or all purpose but I add 2 teaspoons and 1/4 of baking powder)
✓ 3 eggs.
✓ 250 g of sugar.
✓ 150 g of butter or margarine.
✓ 250 ml of pineapple juice.
✓ 1 tablespoon of pineapple essence.
✓ 5-6 slices of pineapple in syrup, either canned or you make them, as I show you in this video.
To make your own pineapple slices:
✓ 1 Large Pineapple.
✓ 1/4 cup of sugar.
✓ 1 pinch of salt.
✓ Water.
