There is riding gear, and there is riding gear. See what I did there? This Klim Mojave riding gear I have been using in 2020 is the best vented gear I have ever had. Many of the other things I've tried over the years are simply garbage by comparison. Here is a link to where you can find this stuff:

I love my Klim gear. I was likely the first Canuck to get the Badlands ADV gear. Loved it, kept me dry in monsoon season in Colorado as did everyone in Klim we were with. Wash and dry, clean like new. Love it. All my other lighter Klim gear has lasted. Never an issue had. I’ll never ride anything else

Agreed. I’ve had the Dakar for a few years and got the Mojave this past season. Great quality and has lasted longer than anything else I’ve owned. (First actual comment 😜)

The ONLY problem with KLIM gear is your wife will never understand why you need more! It simply does not wear out. I still have and wear 7 year old Mojave OTB. Well, after that long, the Georgia red clay, chain lube spatter, blood, etc. does change the colors a bit :-). KLIM gear is way cheaper in the long run!

I have a pair of Dakar pants that I've had since maybe 08. Still wear the jersey. My mojavie stuff wasn't that great. The pants have a tear in the seam that is odd. I really need to send them back. Lifetime type warranty, but it won't stop me from buying another set. Likely to do so this year. Its time for sure.

Ordered a M and L Mojave jersey in red rock color. Look, fit and feel is amazing. I’m 5’10 180# and the L fit perfectly. Not baggy just right. M felt to small so gave to my 14 son to ride in. Also grabbed grey Mojave In boot pants and damn they are built top notch quality! 34” waist normally in pants so ordered 34” klim and dead on.

Fox stuff is definitely crap...Especially the instinct boots. Very comfortable, but I had problems with them within 3 months that Fox would not fix. So I went back to the old Trusty Alpinestar Tech 7 Enduro sole. That Klim stuff is second to none. This last set of gear I bought I went with the Thor Terrain and I’m really impressed with it, but it still not Klim.

Dakar isn't cold weather gear, it just isn't vented. The XC line is really nice, but its to soft for off road use-it'll end up just like your fox stuff if you ride in the trees (great for moto though).

I wear my Dakar gear from 20-50 degrees, and my Mojave from 50 and up. If its below 40, I put a base layer on with the Dakar and I'm good.

I would actually disagree with this. I have Kilm Dakar, Mojave and XC Lite gear. The XC Lite is move vented than the Mojave, but it's still pretty warm. I'm talking about 90+ degree weather in the humid south. I think the Fly gear is supposed to vent better, I may try that next.

I bought myself a different Klim Jacket, the Badlands pro. I am very disappointed about this product, it is so much of not practical. It states to have a lot of pockets, but acutally you cant use them, they are to small, of are made of mesh material, or are being blocked when u open the upper part with the straps to hold it open. It very uncomfortable, it feels like a middleage armor made of metal. I rode with it about 500km and bought myself a Rukka R.O.R. jacket with a additional protector shirt inside. But to say someghing positive, the venting is good with Badlands pro jacket. And it was really waterproof. Sorry but for me : No Klim again. Overrated and not good for real world usage So if someone need a Badlands pro jacket, about 500km old, bought Sept 2020, plese tell me (the jacket is currently in switzerland)

Agree 100% Kyle! I wear my Klim Mojave jersey and pant from April through October, and then switch to my Klim Dakar for winter. Next spring I'm going to buy a set of Klim XC Lite gear and see how that compares to the Mojave. I figure if its good enough for Trystan Hart, then its good enough for me. ;) You hit all the key selling points on the jersey and pant. The abrasion-resistant sleeves are just awesome, but don't feel stiff at all. I shred every other brand riding trails, but not the Klim! The breathability on all of their stuff is great, and the durability is second to none. Sadly, the colors are pretty lame, but the construction, fit, and durability are all spectacular. Since I ride trails, mountains and deserts, who cares what I look like. It's probably not pretty enough for the MX queens, but that's OK too.

@jeffloucks2120 3 жыл бұрын
Heavier and a bit more restricting feeling but more durable due to this. XC lite are like pajamas by comparison. I use XC lite on hot days and for hare scrambles. Mojave for everything else. Mohaves can last you a long time. The type that I feel is actually worth replacing the inner leg panel if it wears through. XC lites might be more beat overall by that time by comparison and probably just replace with new set and colors etc. Thankfully they are a bit easier on the wallet.
