Of course the donation is much appreciated, although I never want anyone feeling obligated to do anything beyond what is unfortunately considered "the bare minimum". There's so much competition on this one platform alone, so the decision to watch my nonsense in particular is one that I'll always be thankful for (and of course, thank you for choosing to go above and beyond that :D)

If you had fun with this, I suggest trying the Harebrained Schemes Battletech game as well as MechWarrior 5. They both scratched some very deep-seated itches I didn't know I had. And remember, Capellan children are property of the state, and therefore valid military targets. Also some very good lore stuff. The Battle of Tukkayid, The Black Watch's entire existence, Kerensky's exodus, the black marauder, ect. Seeing the upgrade system mentioned, the more I think Battletech and MechWarrior are something you may like. There's a MUCH more indepth customizatiom system in both, allowing you to do much more upgrades. The former also has a mod called BTA3062 that expands the map and adds a lot more mechs and customization, mostly from the tabletop along with some homebrew stuff. Artillery with shaped charges are a personal favorite. Crossmap coring of mechs.

It makes sense to essentially working as a media personality but still not wanting attention. Your overaching will is to influence others, your being is just the means. Personally I sometimes find it annoying when someone makes something I made about me, because they fail to realise what I made it for, they look at me instead of my proud creation. Let's say I donate to a charity like you have, in that scenario I don't want to hear "Oh, you're such a morally good person!", I want to hear "This is going to help so many people!" or just a "You did it!" because that is what I would care about. That is the goal, why I'm doing that. Having someone recognise what you're doing and saying you did it well is so much better than a meaningless compliment. I hope all that made sense. Please ask if anyone wants me to explain further.

If you are looking for more Auto-Battler fun, I'd recommend looking into the Dominions Series (not to be confused with the Deckbuilder game Dominion (singular vs plural)), the latest entry, Dominions 6, was recently released (much like, say, the Civilization series, there is 0 need to have played previous entries). To put it as glibly as possible, Dominions is to Auto-Battlers what Total War is to RTS. It is Turn Based, where every turn you recruit Units, Commanders and Mages, give your Mages orders (move with/command your armies so they can throw around magic to turn the tide of battle; forge powerful equipment for the Commanders (and Mages) to help turn the tide of battle; cast powerful Rituals to do things like calling down a plague of locusts on your enemies, or summoning powerful monsters to fight for you; research, which unlocks more of the above; and so on) give orders to your armies, of which province you want the army to move into, along with where you want your units on the battlefield and simple standing orders for each group (generally, what you want them them to focus on, and if you want them to charge forward, or wait to get a little bit), with a little more control for Commanders and Mages. If armies from two different players meet they fight using how you set them up until one side is wiped out, exactly like a round of an Auto-Battler. The "plot" (for lack of a better word) is: the Pantokrator (Head God) has left for who knows where, leaving a power vacuum; you take the role of a Nation trying to make YOUR God (referred to as a Pretender) the new Pantokrator; and you achieve this by either crushing all other Pretenders and their Nations, or by Seizing enough Thrones of Power. There is so much more I could get into (and there are many others who can explain it way better than I) but I hope you get the point.

16:27 What about using electromagnetic against the rhinos? On marksman, storm-callers, and melting's missiles works fine, but, especially in the frontline, even electromag-wasps? I see you've the tech already, and if placed (wasps) along the deployment line they'll hit the rhinos at least one time before the enemy's other units'll have time to react. Wasps are maybe the best option as melty's costly, storm-callers slow, probably you'd buy other ups for the marksman and thus it'll be much more expensive adding electromag too, but wasps should be effective? *I may be missing something obvious to you for which this can't work on your case - I hope this is not the case
@FuoChEsplode4 ай бұрын
Forgot electromag tanks and hackers (but those aren't really an option as, if the rhinos get to you and the hackers convert them, the enemy may kill them soon-ish, making them explode on your frontline anyway) ---
@DaveyGunface4 ай бұрын
That definitely would've worked and it's something I started deploying as an actual counter, Marksman would've been the best for the situations displayed IMO, and Electromagnetic has been a staple of all of my builds following that discovery. Childlike wonder to me has never been about technologically advanced stuff. That's impressive and beautiful but part of seeing that beauty is being an adult and being able to be awed by and appreciate it. Childlike Wonder for me is simple things that make you inexplicably happy or fulfilled. PS: I'll be honest, a large portion of my childhood and teens was spent playing RTS games. Exactly none of that was spent playing competitive PVP. It still doesn't really interest me to this day. I much prefer a good co-op or singleplayer experience over any fancy VS modes that require me to take the game seriously.
@DaveyGunface4 ай бұрын
I totally agree with the single player comment. Although I don't think a campaign would really *fit* for this game, every time I see a new RTS come out where it's painfully evident that the single player was an afterthought that can be described as little more than "Several consecutive Versus AI Maps with some brief interjections from uninteresting characters sprinkled in", I suffer.

It's what you make of it IMO, of course you'll probably find players who just deploy the correct counter to all of your nonsense and you'll perish most painfully, but I find that the average experience falls under the same umbrella of "If you want to do something silly, do it with enough conviction and it may just work out".
