An UPDATE from SM - The 4 micro-adjustment issue is now SOLVED and they also re-stocked. I am waiting for an updated bracelet link from them, will post a video update as soon as I get it.

Just an update. I got mine now and notice the center lug on the end links have been refined more. They now curve down instead of have that flat appearance as in your video and of course they fixed the micro adjust issue.

I don't understand why the SM would want to deceive us with a 38mm diameter in the specs while the bezel is 39mm?. I pulled the trigger on it because of that one millimeter less. It's really not oke, especially considering the price they charge. I have to say I appreciate this review more than the one Gary made two weeks ago. In my opinion he was really struggling to stay impartial about this model. Thank you!

The vintage subs all had these proportions. Google for the Tudor 9401. I personally like it very much, 38mm case for me is ideal and the 39 bezel just gives it an oomph. And it looks better. On the contrary, the subs where bezel is or look smaller than the case just looks ugly. That's why i never got into the Seiko SKXs.

Please forget my previous comment. I just got it and it is so beautiful. Nothing wrong with the dimensions. It's visibly smaller and more refined than the water ghost with 40 mm diameter. It also fits perfectly on my 6,5 inch wrist. I had to remove 3 links. I am really impressed by the elegance of this watch.

I have a very similar watch with a domed acrylic crystal. It has a sterile dial with no date. A very accurate Seagull st16 automatic movement and great vintage lume. I paid £50 and have worn it every day since I bought it 18 months ago. It's a homage to a Rolex 5513 from 1962.

I would sand/ file down and polish the rivets by the clasp enough to allow you to adjust the band accordingly.

Great review! Earned a sub today. I'm pleased to see the size choice. Watches are becoming more sensibly sized. The extra MM at the bezel is helpful for grip. Hat's off to San Martin for the detailed bracelet link rivets and the commitment to the slim-sided case work. I could see the watch dial using their applied serifed logo they used on their Bronze 62MAS homage, but the script is a fine choice here. I like their hex logo but not when used at the same time as the script, I would have advised that the clasp be left sterile. I hope to see this watch stay in their line. It's on my short list for the coming year. The only downside is the shipping experience on Ali Express, the delay is atrocious. I would pay slightly more for DHL to the US.

Great review and very nice watch. Mouvement : would prefer the nh38 Indexes should be applied. Red triangle on the bezel. Bezel would be better mat ceramic. Bracelet, real female endlinks. Drilled lugs. With all this mods, this watch would be a killer

Nice review, probably the first of this watch. First homage that really caught my attention, maybe because I just watched those old bond movies and this one really captures some of the original. This one was on my cart on the 11.11, but on the day it was out of stock. I have a small wrist so I gotta ask, what´s the minimum bracelet size?

Good Day; I keep seeing reviews of this 58 or Ghost homage San Martin watch. After I made an attempt to but it in December. But I chose to buyChristmas gifts for my niece and nephew. It’s a very cool watch and San Martin also allows for modifying the display with any kind printing other than the San Martin name. Also the riveted oyster band. I’m going to buy it for birthday.

It's the San Martin trinity logo. The shark, hexagon and cursive. I think they chose the right logo/name on the dial, the cursive gives a more vintage look

I wish San Martin would do another Sub homage with a printed dial logo like this one has, and the bezel from the SN017 and the size and movement options from the SN019. But a San Martin Sub is on the second place of watches I want to buy. Maybe I will buy it on behalf of my cat to give to me for the holidays. I already plan to give him two new toys, a big bag of his favourite treats and 25 cans of tuna. But don't tell him that, I want it to be a surprise for him.

Personally I don't think the ceramic bezel fits in with the vintage look. A metallic bezel would look so much better with that dial. Just my opinion.

I got a San Martin water ghost V3 (Rolex Submariner homage) with black dial sapphire glass and sapphire glass 2.5 , magnification date window cyclops and ceramic bezel NH35a movement and it looks amazing on the wrist and has an outstanding lume and runs like a dream' I'm saving my pennies for a San Martin with carved bronze and green gradient dial and SW200 movement but I also like the San Martin grand Seiko homage black ceramic bezel and blue dial also with SW200 movement they both have a pt5000 option also✌️🧐🇬🇧

Nice looking for sure but those end links are an eye sore (why not just use female end links) the rivet style bracelet does nothing for it imho & the movement , i'm not convinced it's worth what they're asking personally, i'm sure the nearest brands to SM (cronos,steeldive,heimd,etc) can produce an equivalent for less with those specs in a 40mm with a better bracelet option.

Thanks for the video. I would want a day or a day/date complication...I prefer its bigger brother as it looks "manlier" LOL. I am still waiting to fill my Sub homage slot, had an Invicta that my wife "stole" and looks way better on her anyway. I am leaning towards the Orient Ray 2 in Marine Blue with day/date because it's not a "copy" and looks different enough to stand on its own without crying about being a rip off of a Rolex". Vintage divers often had a nice ocean-related image on the back, so they could have reproduced the shark I suppose. Or just put a small SM on the crown.

Excellent watch, though the bracelet has issues that their previous 2017 versions already had, and had more vintage correct end links. The size is wonderful, way better than the Invicta 1953, which is not only way poorer finished, but also clumsy large.

Just wanted to add, they have acknowledged the bracelet issue and sent all previous customers a little extra link, which does fit inside the clasp, so you can actually use all four holes of the micro adjustment. Great service San Martin!

I'm doubting about buying this one or the SN017-G v3, the Submariner Homage, not because it's a Rolex "copy", I don't like copies, but because I think it's a good watch as an everyday watch. I'm not sure which one of them is better as an everyday watch in terms of reliability. I like the size of this 6200 model, but I feel that guard-less crown a bit weaker and less shock resistant. @Bruh_Oly, I like them both, probably not the answer you are after 🙂 but hear me out: the same quality of construction, and the same quality materials including a very decent lume on both, although, if you really want to get pedantic - The Water Ghost V3 is V3 and this Vintage is V1.2 (Updated bracelet). So the decision is more about style. The V3 feels very robust and is a pleasure to wear, and, of course, it has a date - goes to practicality. The Vintage one is well built etc but has more of a delicate crafted piece feel - and the revet bracelet is a love/hate thing for quite a few watch enthusiasts - I am on a love side 🙂 . So, yeah, the bottom line is - what style you are after, will probably the best determine your choice. Most of the viewers who bought either of these watches are quite happy, the only complaint I heard was something about the sharpness of some edges on the V3, I haven't experienced it myself - so I cannot confirm. I've also had a 39mm Steinhart but I found it too small. I'm leaning to the vintage diver in the hope that the extra bezel size makes it appear larger on wrist. My wrist is about 6.5" . I feel it looks bigger than a Steinhart 39mm watch .

I missed out on one of these, but I think they should make a 40mm and replace the screws that cause an issue with flat screws like you suggested. I do like the logo also was the right choice for this watch. Wish they would make a better choice on the V3 Sub homage like a stainless signature logo.
