Really as Similar as they look? San Martin BB58 homage vs 6200 Retro Diver

I have had the 6200 for several weeks now. It has been in steady rotation the whole time. That is saying quite a lot seeing as I can choose between two Aquascaphe's (blue, white), a Méraud Bonaire and RLG Odyssea. It is so compact, solid and reliable not to mention San Martin has captured not only the look but the essence of the original Bond Watch. Best value! 👌

I went the 6200 direction, but with the pencil hands because I loved the seconds hand. I like the 1953 style look.

I have the bb58 homage for 6 months. I wear it alot, love it, never had any problems what so ever.

I usually don't like Homage watches but the San Martin is an exception because they have really good spect and their finishing is one of the best in the price range, not to forget the QC they are better than most Chinese manufacturers. BTW I ordered a 6200 and I can't wait to receive it.

Great review. I have been on a 38/39 vintage diver jag for a few months now. I pulled the trigger on the 6200/SN004 last night. AliExpress summer sale. Great people to work with if you ever consider a custom dial.

Great comparison video! Both are great watches too! I have chosen for the Vintage diver and very happy with the watch. I recently bought the SM Datejust (SN059-G) the Rosegold one. I'm very impressed with the quality and design finishes of these wachtes..

I got the vintage diver off a collector friend . It was brand new for half the cost . I could not pass it up . I did not bother with the bracelet. I have it on a nice black silicone strap. It's a good watch . Keeps good time . The bezel action is 100 % better then my steinhart ocean one 39 . I saw another reviewer that painted the pip red . It look just like the BB 58 . Lol . I may do this too . Thanks for your review.

Got my 6200 recently and really like it. Currently if you order direct from China you can get it with female end links on the bracelet making it an even nicer fit on the wrist. Sizing it was not easy - but there again you only have to do it once :)

Thanks for this video! It really helped. I keep reading about issues with the PT5000 in the BB model, so as much as I'm drawn to that one, I think I'm going to go with the vintage diver instead.

If you want the retro diver, it's super cheap in the current sale. I picked one up, and I'm eagerly awaiting delivery Also, they now include the on the fly clasp with the bracelet

Should have gone with matte ceramic bezels..... To match the matte dial and keep the aesthetic closer to vintage.
