one tip for the crackling sound you get sometimes, its not necessary to match frequencies but it's recommended... the crackling sound appears when the input has a different frequency to the output but you can just change the output to "MME" if you have "WDM" selected or vice-versa, you can also do this with the input... i use "MME" instead of "WDM" and it works the same way as it should, you can also go to the output and use de "EQ" and lower (when i mean lower just completely low" the low notes and the high notes... doing that and using "intelipan" to make it lower and a bit higher will complement it and will sound better... of course this is my opinion haha, i had learn this the hard why, the same way had to learn Why TF the crackling sound appeared in some games and in discord or some other games worked just fine.... now i'm using sonarworks reference 4, rtx voice, voicemeeter banana and everything works like a well oiled machine.

I experienced issues where my audio was crackling but it was the audio through my headphones, not my mic audio. Noticed the “buf:” in settings by my output was listed as “buf:1024” even with the setting being 512. Changed my setting to MME instead of WDM and it fixed. For some reason the buffer rate wouldn’t go down to 512 on my device. So if you’re having any issue like this, it’s because your buffer rates don’t match.

It only fixes itself after i switch back to my vanilla mic in discord, followed all the steps in this video and still not working. it is beyond me.

To me that sounds like you might be having too much compression and gate. Also maybe voicemeeter changes the volume of you mic and the voice sensitivity threshold cuts you out.

I could exceed sample rate of microphone beyond 24 bit 48000Hz, like to 32 bit 98K. Should I go for bigger means better?
@illuwe3 жыл бұрын
Late reply, but you really don't need to go higher than 48kHz ever. 96kHz is intended for professional use, and even in most professional uses 48kHz is more than enough. I would suggest just keeping it at 24bit 48kHz for your personal computer, raising it higher can cause issues if the rest of your system runs on 48kHz. And the quality difference is not something you're gonna hear anyways.

@HukeIsMe3 жыл бұрын
The mix has more to do with the editor tbh lol. If we were sitting in a discord call I would be the same volume in both ears. But yeah I think it's just a different sound. Not necessarily better. Sometimes people aren't satisfied with their mic quality and wanna try a software before buying a new mic, which is worth a try. Usually a bad mic is really tinny, so adding some bass to it will help.
