That would be another fun one! Thank you! Little shorter handle and smaller loop than I like but it’s super light!

I see you adjusting your trolling motor while retrieving. Is your livescope transducer on your trolling motor? Do you have one on a pole too, or do you find the trolling motor the best place to mount?
@tjsguideserviceАй бұрын
I have done both, now that I’m done guiding, I love having it on my tripling motor for chasing big, single fish!

Both of them works for me all the time . For wallaye at least

Do you use scent on your soft plastics? Northland recommends soaking the eye candy plastics in their trays but I wonder if it really makes any difference...

I have heard that it can help, but I have not tried it! Honestly one of the next things I want to try
@FishingNorthernOntarioCanada2 ай бұрын
what type of main line ? Jbraid ? I think i prefer a split tail more ways to work it and easier to slow it down
@tjsguideservice2 ай бұрын
I use j braid most often! Probably my favorite braid for castability!

How do you get ur eye candy to stay rigged correctly its so soft its hard to rig
@tjsguideservice2 ай бұрын
It’s hard to explain without showing, but I pinch the plates and pull down to get it over the keeper on the jig! Takes a few tries but it’s worth it once they are on and you put a dab of super glue, you want have to replace it!

I can't catch sh*t with plastics, lol. So neither for me :) My go to nearly all season has been snap-jigging. Killer.
@tjsguideservice2 ай бұрын
Some days I can, some days I can’t! Snap jigging is an awesome way to trigger fish to bite!

How heavy jig head do you use? Great video… I have been buying and using almost everything you, Nick, and Brett use 😂. But not as successful. Keep up the good work 👍🏼

I use 1/2oz. Seems to be perfect speed to trigger those fish and drop quickly! I will say that I have had better luck locally with the straight tail, but better luck on bigger more prominent lakes with the paddle tail!

@@tjsguideservice thanks for the advice, much appreciated. I only have 1/4 and 1/8 oz sizes so far. Might have to get some 1/2 oz ones then! Thanks! PS.. I remember you saying in a video that you’re a teacher… I am also a teacher in the Pierz School District.
