I do not understand why you have not attracted many more subscribers. Always straightforward and entertaining with some great images. Not being sponsored or pushing products is refreshing. Keep up the good work.

I appreciate that! Thank you Maurice. Unfortunately I am in the hands of the dreaded KZbin algorithm and its a waiting game. If I was driving round in fast cars or ghost hunting I would have thousands of subscribers haha...maybe I could ghost hunt in fast cars whilst taking landscape photos haha? Joking aside...I appreciate your kind comment and the watch. Please come back next Sunday :)

Great video mate and to be able to follow the adventure. Some great images, my favourite was the portrait that came on screen at 8 mins 15 seconds 😀👍

Finally got round to watching this Karl after my long weekend in Snowdonia, really enjoyed reliving the day through the vlog. You got some cracking shots from the location, also loved the drone sequences, they really give a sense of the place. I was actually on the Elidir trail today with some friends and a lot of the autumn colour has already gone, especially around horseshoe falls, so we probably had the best of the autumn colour while we were there 👍😊

Glad you enjoyed it...cheers Martin. We were lucky we had decent weather also. Look forward to the next meet up mate :)

The Lady Falls is my absolute favorite! I’m not able to pronounce it’s real name, that makes it even more majestic 😊 so much to learn from your video Karl, this definitely looks like a location perfect for autumn, but the winter must be amazing too! Pretty cool adventure getting into the water, that’s awesome 😎

It's so good! I agree...Lady falls is a beauty. If you have watched any of my other videos I always try to get wet at every location haha...I must of been a fish in a past life?? lol

What a fabulous location. I always think 70% of getting a good image Is about the location although a 4 hours drive is dedicated. Interesting re your comments about flow baring in mind all the rain we are having. Planning to go over to Keld next month so will take that into consideration.
@karlphoto3652 жыл бұрын
Cheers Rod 👍 The flow matters in my experience to what the finished shot will be. I prefer some detail on the water and its really difficult when the falls look like a blob of blamanche haha. I tend to focus on the lower parts I that case. The more gentle areas. Yes...I agree that location is a massive percentage of the shot. If we lived in Canada or the dolomites we would have killer shots every trip I'm sure haha. But Grest Britain as a whole has some beautiful world class locations...just the bloody petrol costs prevent some of us getting there!! 🙄

The images are amazing. The two images with the stone in the foreground and the waterfall in the background are beautiful, Karl. This gives the image so much deep and balance the scenery. The other images are really good, too.

Having covered the same trail only a week ago I'm disappointed to see how good your results are compared to mine! I've got to up my game - but videos like yours help, so well done and thanks.

Dont be so hard on yourself mate...Im sure the autumn colours have come out more on this visit and that really helps. Keep trying and you will get the results your after. I will be starting workshops in the New Year so keep an eye out on my vlogs for details :)

Surprised you did not go to Sgwd Ddwli Uchaf and park at Pont Melin Fach car park. That would have saved you the long walk from Pontneddfechan to Sgwd Gwladus. Pont Melin Fach is a 10 min walk from Ddwli then you just walk down to the other 3 falls.
@karlphoto3652 жыл бұрын
Hi Gary. The reason we walked in was the road to the car park was extremely muddy and myself and Martin did not want to risk damaging our cars. The upper Gushing Falls were that ferocious in flow that it would not of made a picturesque shot. Not one person got the camera out at the top. Thanks for the watch mate 👍

@@karlphoto365 ah I see, forgot to mention great video. Really liked the drone bits, I’m learning to fly my DJI Mini 2. Yes Ddwli was ferocious the other week when I visited, however, the road was ok then.
@karlphoto3652 жыл бұрын
@@garygroves761 Thanks Gary. The drone was a nightmare there as no gps anywhere on the trail. I had to just pray I could retrieve it haha

Hi Karl, Enjoyed your video a lot - vlog is really well put together and engaging. Takes me back to that amazing day at Ystradfellte. I dropped you a couple of messages and faves on Flickr and if you had a couple of moments I'd be really pleased if you got the time to have a quick look at the six or seven images I posted from the same day. Anyway, you have some really nice images onbthos vlog. Best wishes. Philip
