Thank you for this review. I have been searching for a digital delivery service like this for YEARS! Besides wedding films and other clientele, I film events, and the process of producing all those DVDs & BluRays was killing me! Hopefully I can make the switch smoothly without disrupting my client base too much...

Freaking love this. Just went to the site today from watching your video. Stopped all presses. No more dvd printing. Later today sent out emails to everyone on the list, and made a usb. Yeah it’s 49 bucks a month but I just saved a day maybe two on production. Dvd cases plus printing and cutting, then label, and then designing menu. Forget about it! I am finished in 45 minutes. Thank you bro

We use Eazyflicks now. Very similar to Mediazilla but more affordable. It's still in beta but works great for our clients.

Scott please assist. Here in South Africa, DVD and USB Flash Drive is still very much in play. However ,t wedding videos are sizing up to about 11gig per client. Some clients don’t want usb Flash. Is there a special dvd that I can buy that can accommodate this size coz I think I’ve only seen 4.7gb per Dvd

Hi Scott, brilliant work on all your tutorials. Quick question and idea when Medizilla will have an app for smart TV's

They already have apps for Apple TV. I imagine none for actual TVs but definitely things like TV, Roku etc

dropbox is $120 per year for 1tb so Mediazilla (0.6tb) is charging roughly $380 per year extra for a dvd menu making software and a more pro client interface. Not trying to hate on Mediazilla at all tho... just trying to figure out a solution for delivering my wedding videos :)

Hey Scott, I jumped aboard MediaZilla after watching this video, largely due to the fact that I could publish & deliver digitally, AND produce physical media (DVD/BR) on the same platform. They recently announced that with V2 they will no longer support physical media. I am looking for alternatives and wondered if you have any experience with WedFlow or Eazyflicks?

Great video, Scott! That seems like a perfect solution for me for I've trembled in fear when thinking about delivering a 4K wedding on a flashdrive. How big (filesize wise) is your full 4K wedding file usually? What's your usual GB-per-hour ratio?
@scottmckenna7 жыл бұрын
+MrRoarer a typical 4k wedding is 400-600gb per wedding.
@MrRoarer7 жыл бұрын
+mckennatech Okay, how do you handle the annual upload limit of 600GB (Pro plan) then? :O
@scottmckenna7 жыл бұрын
So far I've managed to stay under it since I'm not uploading 4K. A typical 8-14 minute wedding film is 500mb-1gb per wedding. A doc film that is normally 90 minutes or longer, is usually 3-7gb per file. I've managed to stay under 600gb per year.
@MrRoarer7 жыл бұрын
Oh, so Mediazilla sounds perfect for delivering HD. Looks like I'll still have to consider delivering a 4K wedding on a 1TB external hard drives then :(
@scottmckenna7 жыл бұрын
Well if you're delivering raw footage, that's a different story. I only deliver edited films on Medizilla, not raw footage.

Hi Scott,greeting from Ireland,have been following channel lately,great work.Just one small question,what file format do convert media for upload to Mediazilla. I currently work in Final cut x but still deliver on hard copy Blueray or Dvd,don't know whether our broadband structure is up to digital delivery yet Lol !

I export h264 typically from FCPX if that's what my camera shot in.

Can you show how it looks when a client clicks on the link
@mikefordphoto55666 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the great video! I really want to use this service but man it's expensive. Additionally, if you crawl thru their site,... well let's say that some of the pages are "low end"... which worries me because web services is what they sell.... It would be much easier to justify the cost if my clients could order dvds / usb drives and Mediazilla would load the video/menu and mail it to them directly. In the infographic video on their site, it seemed like that was what it was leading up to by talking about how much of a hassle it is to make dvds and mail them.

When I share my project and created a bluray, it looks different quality that USB digital version. USB looks great on the Blu-ray Disc looks less quality. Is that normal or there is a way that bluray version looks as great as USB digital version. I use Final Cut Pro. Should I use motion or compressor? I have never use those. Thanks

What's the best way to deliver wedding films to couples in 2021?
@bettyrobinson60556 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott, This software is great! I'm still puzzle as to how it works. I edit my wedding videos in adobe premiere cc. In order to have the different menus, do you edit in mediazilla or do you export to mp4 and upload it to mediazilla. If so, how do you get the different menus if it's one clip?
@scottmckenna6 жыл бұрын
They have lots of tutorials on how it works. Just mess around with it more and you’ll learn it. I just export in whatever settings I prefer from FCPX or Premiere Pro and then I Upload it to Mediazilla
@markzola81425 жыл бұрын
So how does it work compression wise for say a usb? Do i compress it before i export it into mediazilla?
@03balla036 жыл бұрын
Have you experienced slow import speeds or quality loss with Mediazilla? It has taken me days to upload an 8 minute film and loss considerable amount of quality in the process
@ToriMeece5 жыл бұрын
So how do you describe this to clients? If they use this site they have the option to download it themselves and download it onto a usb or dvd? Or if they want either of those I do that for them still through mediazilla?
@piso11studio477 жыл бұрын
Hi scott, ultra great walkthrough.. thanks man. I was wondering im doing 20-25 wedding a year. i want to have the option to export to dvd and usb. what pricing would be right for me?
@scottmckenna7 жыл бұрын
I believe you have that option no matter what plan you choose. The plans vary more on the amount you can uploa d per year. Exporting to DVD and USB is super simple and looks great. I would definitely check it out. Use my link if can.

@scottmckenna6 жыл бұрын
Same method through Mediazilla. They have a convenient export to USB Drive.
@djk2ugc6 жыл бұрын
yes! I have delivered projects through mediazilla and also exported to USB format, but I had to cancel because it just wasn't working out for me. I don't have enough weddings to afford to keep the service. I will come back to them hopefully if I book a lot more weddings. I tried just dropping the files to a USB drive but it does lack presentation. thanks! @@scottmckenna

Hi Scott, Mediazilla is just what I'm looking for, but I'm a stills photographer. Do you know of any portals that cater just for stills photography? Alternatively, I suppose I could think outside the box and create a series of slideshows to upload via MZ.

Definitely an option for sure. I think MZ is super powerful and I love it.

Hey Scott! What if you are not subscribed with MediaZilla anymore and you had sent a link, to say, a year ago to a couple. Will the couple still be able to download their videos even if you no longer have a subscription?
@scottmckenna6 жыл бұрын
They have to create an account or they won't have access to it.
@TheOneMonk6 жыл бұрын
It is obvious the client should download their files upon receiving the Mediazilla URL But it is a valid question as all Mediazilla content integration in social media would break if the account is closed. I guess such questions of online availabiliy etc are clarified in the contract the wedding filmer does with the client.

I have been creating printed media for years of the school musicals, concerts and graduations that I have filmed and edited. The individual attends the event and orders a copy which they will pick up or I will mail if they paid for that option. How do you collect your money for this type of delivery through Mediazilla? Can they share the media that they download to put on their own DVD/Bluray/USB? I'm sure I will continue having many who would prefer a printed copy they can hold. But others will want to have it electronically. Any input would be greatly appreciated. On this type of project (most of what I do), the only way I get paid is through sales - the organization does not pay for the filming at all.
@scottmckenna7 жыл бұрын
You can basically create a private password protected gallery if you choose that no one could access unless they have the password. I personally don't charge for Mediazilla delivery, it's the way I deliver everything. However, if you were going to charge for it, you can charge people any way that you prefer, that's your call. It's a very nice option with a professional clean look.
