One tip I can give, for anything like that for starting out is to count 1, 2, 3, 4 to the beat of the song as a metronome, even tapping your foot or press harder on the 1st / 2nd note will help a lot. Good luck!

maybe on DT, even still not a good way to improve. play different charts, ballistic is still a pretty easy speed jack song so.. maybe stick to mid 2* (i only play osu!mania so i dont know how that translates to quaver, but you can convert mania charts.) speed jack, or mini jack charts until you can play them at a comfortable level. after that just, keep going up.. its all about practice, like in any rhythm game.

Playing insanity from dave and bambi before the 3.0 is a good way to practice too, the speed of the jacks are moderate and you simply gotta follow the rhythm in tha part, it follows the same sequence during that section
