Hah this was great! I learned two things about the game from this. Hooks are a powerful way to get things done in CK3 and apparently you make money based on the resources in your area. I mean, I pretty much know nothing about the game, I feel like I need a doctorate in this game just to play it with any level of competence. All of the How to videos are generally 30+ minutes long and I'm a professional who is playing this game on his time off, I mean come on, where is the time going? Maybe I should go back to Skyrim, why do I have to be a history nerd? Subbed btw because this video was gold.

Lol I did something similar recently in the HRE. I was the Count of Aachen and felt that I was entitled to more than what I had since I held the old imperial palace. So I started making hooks and kidnapping nobles across the empire for ransom! I even repeatedly kidnapped the imperial family including the emperor’s mother! I eventually parleyed this into becoming a duke and blackmailed my way into becoming the Imperial Chancellor. Perfect, some glorified bandit(who has repeatedly ransomed the emperor’s children and his mother), that’s the guy you want to be the single most powerful person on the Imperial Council!
