The story of how I Created the MOST POWERFUL DYNASTY in CK3 as HAESTEINN? You haven't heard it? Well sit down, grab a refreshing mug of mead... and hear the HAESTEINN SAGA!
In this video and Crusader Kings 3 full playthrough series, Koifish will play as the Viking Norse legend Jarl Haesteinn, and playing as his dynasty from the start of the game in 867, all the way to the end in 1453! A complete Crusader Kings 3 Mega campaign! All with the goal to create the STRONGEST and MOST POWERFUL Dynasty in all of CK3!
And in this first episode, we play as the founding father himself: Jarl Haesteinn! Our first goal will be to conquer and elevate the kingdom of Mann and the Isles, and create a pirate Viking Kingdom that will put fear into the Kings and Queens of the world! No shore is safe when Haesteinn and his raiders come to ravage, steal and plunder!

I remember when CK3 first came out there was no cap on how much points your dynasty members would contribute to your renown. So created a Welsh Empire, made every single lord in it a member of my dynasty. The family tree would crash the game if opened. At the end I handily had every single dynasty unlock done.

Your videos actually inspired me to start my own Jarl Haesteinn game. I went to Scotland and became Jarl of Katanes, then conquered Nidaros and formed the Kingdom of Norway (with some island hopping). After that, I took two other holy sites (Jarvik and Uppsala) and reformed the Norse religion to have equal gender rights and Haesteinn as head of faith!

Haesteinn challenge idea: As Haesteinn, conquer the canarie islands (off the coast of Africa) and use the "Mystical Ancestors" culture tradition that they have to get tonnes of dynasty legacies with tonnes of your children. This could be a incredibly fun playthrough to watch.

13k prestige and you didn't diverge the culture into a warrior one. I recommend "Only the Strong" as Vikings you will get some insanely cracked knights. 40+ prowess sometimes with insane commander traits/blademaster. I reformed Asatru so you can change to accepted witchcraft, get sorcerous metallurgy to make insanely good weapons. You should make the culture around being a warrior. My first tall Sardinia playthrough I used Haestainn, eventually creating Giga-Chads pre Royal Court on console. I may attempt it again.

A suggestion for a series : Start as norse in 867, varangian Normandy, form the Norman culture, then get England and form English culture, then get Anjou and Aquitaine and form Angevin culture and Empire. Great campaign tbh !

The strongest I’ve ever gotten with Haesteinn was when I lived till 103 years old. I started with a Varangian adventure against the duchy of Cornwall. Then a kingdom claim against Wessex. After conquering the duchy of Mercia I had enough to form the kingdoms of Cornwall and England. I then went on to conquer all of Wales and most of Ireland. By this time I was very old and and focusing on my succession. Luckily I had 4 Sons exactly who would split my land into 4 kingdoms in a perfect split. Now I have died and have made a start date in which I can play through any of the brothers. King Ragnarr of Cornwall (True Successor to Haesteinn), King Haesteinn II of England (The Intelligent and strongest one initially), King Halfdan of Wales (Grandson of Halfdan of Jorvik), and King Sörkver of Ireland (The youngest and concubine son of Haestein). There’s also a 0 year old disinherited son born when Haesteinn was 103 who you could land using Cornwall. I think it’s a pretty sick yet challenging start date as all of the sons have claims on each others lands. You can easily form Britannia or get declared war on by a coalition of the other brothers😂
