Shrimp Scampi Ingredients:
-1 1/2 pounds extra-large shrimp - We used u26 shrimp.
-6 garlic cloves minced
-3/4 cup white wine
-2 tablespoons olive oil
-3 tablespoon unsalted butter
-juice of half lemon - Plus more on the side.
-1 teaspoon kosher salt
-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
-black pepper to taste
-crushed red pepper to taste
-1/4 cup fresh minced parsley

I know this is an older video, but I've been binging some of your videos. I had some shrimp and was looking for a scampi recipe, and luckily found this one. It turned out amazing! I had never heard of putting baking soda on shrimp, but this made the shrimp stay really juicy and firm. Side of fresh linguine, some Italian bread and a glass of the sauvignon blanc, perfection.

Nice! Hey did you change the recipe at all when using the linguine ? I want to make it this weekend with pasta and Id rather stick to this scampi recipe as opposed to his lemon garlic one since this seems more old school scampi style, but my mom loves the pasta with it so I wanna make it for her. @@JediAlliance Like Jim says, if you need more sauce for pasta, you can just double everything except the shrimp. When I made the pasta another night, I didn't have enough wine so I supplemented with chicken broth, so you can even do that if you're worried about the sauce.
