Pretty cool tut, I'll try this out. Thanks for sharing. Your video is nice too. What programming are using to record and put the screens together?

@@RyNeaSoulMusic its very capable software that can do a lot when you wrap your head around. I probably only know about 30% of what OBS can do. But it's free so you can't beat that

Thanks for your comment. I should do a follow up to address some of the questions I got since the video, that is a good idea. But to answer your question. You can then right click on a blank group and load your fav sounds when you are in need of them, or have your fav NI groups on hand when you want to skip to only the stuff you like

Why I cant copy/paste on my Mk3 Mikro like you do in minute 7:30? I even followed the instructions manual on page 191 which is essentially your method here.
@DreamslideProductions3 жыл бұрын
I don't have a mk3 mikro, I have a mk2 mikro. Are you sure you are using duplicate for sounds or effects(have to use software for effects I think) ? Copy paste for events(midi info)
@jexmartinez93433 жыл бұрын
@@DreamslideProductions Thank you sir. I checked the NI Forums but they all post the same resolution procedure as you explain here in this video. It seems to work for some people. In software I have no problem, I copy paste sounds from one group to another with all the FX as you recommended, which is important. Also, I am using an new iMac with an M1 chip. Soooo, I wonder if that has anything to do, but hey the user manual tell you how to do it. Thank you.
@DreamslideProductions3 жыл бұрын
@@jexmartinez9343 that's odd, hopefully it gets ironed out. Seems like something I'd need a video explaining what's happening, but either way. If it works on the software at least you're not stuck with no resolution. Good luck

question once done do you save the groups in the user tab or how do you save all the groups I don't think you put that in the vid. thanks
@DreamslideProductions3 жыл бұрын
..... you might be right, i should really do a part 2 to this soon. but you right click on the group you made and hit save. it will automatically go to the user tab (or you have to rescan in your user section of preferences
@crashbang9994 жыл бұрын
Very good idea. What do you do after you have all your fav sounds? Do you make another group with a bit of everything from those groups and make a tune?
@DreamslideProductions4 жыл бұрын
Yea that's the point, if you already found your favorite 100 sounds out of 700. Then you'll write songs that much faster without getting lost in options you won't use
@crashbang9994 жыл бұрын
@@DreamslideProductions i tried it earlier and with 8 groups open and once I started adding to those groups plus auditioning the groups my CPU couldn't handle it so gonna upgrade my RAM as only have 8 at the moment then I will try again. Dope video though
@DreamslideProductions4 жыл бұрын
@@crashbang999 I should have mentioned that as a possible issue. A good way around that is to mute your non audition groups that way no cpu is being used on the sounds in those groups but they can still save your samples/loops, and you can unmute one at a time to check and reference. Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks for watching, and your questions! I'm sure this info will help others too
@crashbang9994 жыл бұрын
@@DreamslideProductions sounds good ill try that till I upgrade. Started doing this on Soul Magic expansion then was gonna work backwards on the expansions

IM NEW in maschine and i cant understand how you can play in the same time tha drums and the melodys in pad mode....i mean the layers....for me it would be right to have the melody-sample to play on top of that me playing live the drums....but you make it in the same time how??? from 12:25 ane beyond
@DreamslideProductions Жыл бұрын
Oh that is the purpose a sound or sample being in "one shot". Once you find your sample's tempo you play according to that. And when you strike the sample it will play out it's melody or sound to tempo. With anything practice makes perfect. You'll probably be doing it in no time
