It is a far better way to improve eyesight as compared to the rocking method you told. Because i have tried rocking method and it did not do anything to my eyesight. But when i went and played football somedays during sunlight. I noticed my eyesight has gone from 20/40 to 20/20. But i then stopped playing football and continued the bad habits of using phone without breaks. My eye muscles locked up again. And I couldn’t see the 20/40 line clearly. Then when you uploaded this video. The next day in the morning, i went outside to my terrace and gazed at the sky, after around 2-3 minutes of this, i went inside my room and looked at the snellen chart, i could see the 20/25 line. When I noticed this huge improvement, I immediately knew that when i played football, i looked at the sky as well when the ball was in the air, that helped release the ciliary spasm of my eyes. I do this daily now and my eyesight is getting better day by day with the help of Allah

Try doing the Bates long swing before doing the rocking. There are a few things you can do to loosen up your facial muscles before the long swing as well. I think if you 'prep' for rocking you might get more results. Also, if you are trying to go from 20/40 to 20/20 I do not think rocking using close up objects will help your site.

Thereis something about screen letterboxing and pillarboxing that no one addresses yet. Why cinema uses it. Why cinema uses 24hz/24fps. Why smartphones are getting a weird aspect ratio if everyone is facing the wrong aspect ratio device all day. Do an experiment, put your TV in a zoom mode stretching side ways (4:3) or upways (16:9), creating a black collumns around, a dark frame and then your brain will automatically focus on your peripheral awareness.

This is a Bates technique. It also work by looking at a distant blank wall. Because the effort to see causes strain. Looking at something blank prevents the effort and flushes away eye strain
@MyopiaIsMental6 ай бұрын
I learned this before I even started reading the Bates Method but you're absolutely right. I like to call this palming 2.0. It's much like palming without palming. Once someone learns as relaxed as you can become looking at the sky, you should look at everything in life the same way. Sharpness and clarity can come almost immediately by doing so.

Look up or downl will relax eyes as yawn and vomiting reflex. I ve been observing friends who have more relaxed look and they lick their lips more often, they put their tongue out more frequently than me. Other thing I observed we as animals we put our tongue out to show that we did not agree with something, bc tongue out relax eyes. We do this to remove that image from our mind. But our parents taught us that s a bad habit show the tongue lol
@venomsnake64126 ай бұрын
I believe the goal is first to relax the muscles around the eye on a physical level and then proceed with habits such as rocking. Because if you don't relax physically first, the techniques don't work.
@Bernardo-uz6si5 ай бұрын
Yes, but it is hard to addresses what is keeping the body from the natural relaxation. Sometimes a jaw, a tongue position, shoes, sofa, bed, thereis something preventing the system to relax.

my no. 1 priority is getting rid of or ignoring/cancelling (don't know if this is possible) my floaters bc they get in the way constantly when I try to tackle my other vision problems. a mundane task like looking at the sky for ex causes significant strain on my eyes as floaters clogging up and dancing around my fovia simulate "close up" strain when I'm actually not doing any close up work, I'm trying to do the opposite of relaxing my eyes. also I suspect a severe case of floaters is like minor exotropia & esotropia, and causes one's eyes to actually develop or worsen such deviations... bc the floater on either left or right eye pulls that one eye in a random direction that it shouldn't be headed to. convergence insufficiency, intermittent exotropia, visual snow, etc... and obviously myopia are I think later problems for me. will I ever win against my floaters ?

Hey Mark. This is spot on advice. Thanks 😊 I have two questions. 1. i wanted to know what is your view on warm lights. How to incorporate it in daily life. 2. As i am a student i do a lot of online reading so i generally print out all the material and read rather from laptop or kindle. Is it a good practice or I'm unnecessarily putting efforts in printing all the material.
@MyopiaIsMental6 ай бұрын
As for warm lights, why use artificial lights when naturally light is so much better and so good for you. Indoors I prefer to use daylight balance lights but I also balance that with plenty of naturally light when I can. As for as print vs screens. I don't think one is any better than the other. It you are overly focused on either it can lead to tension. The key is to not become so wrapped up into the thing you're looking at that you see nothing else. Always be aware of what is around you.

I live in England, what’s a blue sky? I also have blue eyes, so looking at the sun soaked clouds burns. Other than that I’m well into my journey and couldn’t thank you more
@MyopiaIsMental6 ай бұрын
You're welcome! Consider this... the sky doesn't have to be blue! Overcast grey skies with little contrast work just as well. Also note no matter what your eye color is, many people who are myopic have sensitivity to bright light. I was in the same boat as well when I first started and didn't like to be in bright sun. Now it's the opposite. I don't wear sunglasses at all and prefer brighter environments over darker ones.

In my case my eyes are more relaxed when I work at the computer than when I spend time in open space outside.
@MyopiaIsMental6 ай бұрын
Something to think about... Is it really the case that your eyes are more relaxed in front of a computer or the fact that you spend little time outside that they don't know how to relax when they are outside? I think you may find the more you make yourself go outside and watch the sky, you'll find it will become more relaxing than being in front of a screen.

Hey Mark! I started my vision improvement journey after watching your videos. It's been around 2 months now. At first, I used to get a lot of tearing and stinging but now it's less and I am able to clear up objects much faster. I also get a lot of clear flashes and things appear more crisp when I am not wearing glasses, especially in the sunlight. But from the last week or so, I think I have got astigmatism. I see horizontal and diagonal spikes coming out from light sources like bulbs. I am very tensed due to this. Is it really astigmatism and Should I now get correction for this? Please help me out, I'll be very grateful to you. 😢😢

Marc when I gaze sky it feels like closing my eyes or keep blinking and can't hold my eyes for too long 15seconds or so. this is been always the case since childhood not even though its not bright sky I can see outside but can't hold my eyes to the sky without blinking it feels its quiet too much light for some reason
@MyopiaIsMental6 ай бұрын
One of the reasons I believe we are myopic is because our eyes can't handle bright light. However, the more time you spend in light, even if you have to blink a lot at first, the more your eyes will get used to the bright light. I was much like this when I first started learning to improve my eyesight. I used to wear sunglasses all the time. Now I don't wear them at all. I can look at the sky for hours and relax.
