The BEST way to repair leaking Automatic Transmission Lines (OETIKER CLAMPS)

In this video we will endeavor to cleanup, repair and replace leaking automatic transmission lines using 3/8" fuel line and OETIKER SINGLE EAR CLAMPS. This method is much more secure and long lasting when used on ATF lines instead of worm style hose clamps or constant tension clamps.

Those type pinch clamps are used with PEX tubing when doing plumbing repairs. I've also used them on air lines.

While familiar with this clamp system I've never really gave it much thought. I could see a few advantages however.

Personally when these lines fail, I just fit new AN styled hoses all the way back from the transmission, and just run an appropriately sized external cooler I mount to the the front of the radiator. Don't like the built-in coolers to the radiators, they sometimes fail and you get coolant mixing with your ATF and suddenly your day just got a lot worse.
