I love the concept of the Ramcharger; put down money to get in line. They are totally turding the bed on communication and updates. I have had virtually zero communication, having held my $100 for a literal year. Come on, RAM. What the heck? Don't pull a Ford lightning mistake and get all the hype out there and then lose us on execution.

So i tried this technique after replacing water pump. I filled the reservoir. Opened the bleed port and the radiator cap. Nothing came out of the bleed port. Waited a while, jeep got up to temp, i poured coolant into the radiator, still nothing. Then white smoke started coming out of the bleep port.

Looking for advice. 00 wj 4.0. Last night the skim light stayed on longer than the other dash warning lights but did go out. Twice now over several months all dash warning lights have come on and speedo stops working while driving. Would this be related more to a skim or an ignition switch issue?

Yes, I have done some down-and-dirty "body work" like that. No, I don't replace the plastic "moisture barrier". I may try to be a little careful to not tear it, and simply use a couple of pieces of tape to stick 'er back on, but if she ends up tore-up worse than me in my early twenties on a payday Friday night... nope! Actually, I believe I have a video on my channel of doing exactly this on my WJ. I think it was even the same door. Definitely was *not* a starter that made my dent, though. I had a dang ol' cottonwood get a little too excited to see my beautiful blue WJ during one of them western Washington wind storms, and throw one of its limbs at poor Mazarine. (Yes, I named my WJ Mazarine. It translates to "blue" in French, and she was a beautiful shade of the midnight variety. In fact, her full name was Mazarine the Midnight Marauder.)

You can use butyl which doesn't dry and stays sticky, then cut a new moisture barrier out of whatever thick plastic you have and stick it on

Really appreciate it! I've had a 3.7 Ram from 15k to 145k; absolutely love it (no issues other than replacing front suspension), but I'm looking at 4.7s now that we have a trailer to tow, and wanting to know what I'm getting into. Great info.

Friggin' Daimler Chrysler! Fusible links were *super old* tech, even back when WJs were new! My '86 XJ had fusible links, for cryin' out loud! They shoulda been using Maxi Fuses, cartridge fuses or breakers, those Uncle Jerry wanna bes! 🤬

A fuse that functions like a fuse but doesn’t look like a fuse? Just looks like a normal piece of wire?

Because fuses have a specific and certain blow point, fusible link is more robust and protects components from a HV discharge because it’s a direct ground
