By far the best tutorial channel on KZbin! Busy works beats is a close 2nd but sometimes he just forgets that not everyone has been doing this for years. In The Mix is always simple to understand and like I said also always quick and to the point👍👍👍

I discovered your channel yesterday...I have stayed up ALL NIGHT binge watching! LOL! Your grasp of FL STUDIO and more importantly, the ease with which you translate and teach it is phenomenal! A lot of people look at FL STUDIO as a "kids program" but the things you're doing and the results you're achieving are truly remarkable. Do you record your vocals in FL STUDIO as well? It seems like quite a few producers make their music in FL and opt to record vocals in another DAW. Thanks for creating these incredible videos. Keep 'em coming!

I don't know what freq to cut off and from what sound. Sorry for bad english, it's not my first lang
@usernamephillip5 жыл бұрын
The best example would be EQing the kick and sub. Since the kick and sub both take up low frequencies they tend to compete with the space. So you would want to use subtractive EQing to remove the sub frequencies from the kick and make cuts in the sub so that the kick still sounds punchy. You can pair this with side chaining as well so that the sub and kick sit nicely together. An analogy that always stuck well with me is that your song is basically a puzzle and each piece represents a different instrument like the kick, snare, hats, pads, sub etc. Each piece needs to fit within the frequency range so that they do not try to overlap each other. Hope that helps!
