Enjoyed your teaching. Two things I might add are: you are teaching brush lettering calligraphy which is one of many styles of calligraphy and secondly the importance of the shape of the letter “o” as the base shape of all lettering styles. I thought you did an excellent job of teaching. Many creative people have a gift of creativity but not the means to communicate it. I believe you have both. Thank you!

I've been trying to learn how to hand letter and have watched several tutorials but this one was actually the most helpful to me so far!! I'm really excited because I have practiced drills from many other videos but didn't seem to be improving and I wasn't sure why but after watching this video I was actually able to write a word in calligraphy for the first time!!!! I'm a leathercrafter looking for a different way to apply names and initials to projects, other than stamping (quality stamp sets are very expensive, you have to stock different sizes to fit your project, and there are other variables that make each project a one-off). Thanks for this video and am so glad to have watched this before committing further into calligraphy. If possible, would you be able to make a video of you breaking down each alphabet into basic strokes? Most of the alphabets are covered by the basic strokes, but there’s are some letters like ‘b’, ‘f’, ‘k’ ‘r’, ‘s’ that I’m finding it tough to connect to the basic strokes.
