There are also Geomancer's Incubators that drop guarantied 6-Links once you kill a set number of monsters. Granted you must be patient and perhaps get an armor base that does not meet your needs. 🙂

I always buy a corrupted 6l, with my colors within 8 hours of launch for 20c. It often doesn't have life but I've usually had a Tabula drop by then, sell it for upwards of 30c and basically get a better Tabula and make a little profit. With the mastery changes, my strat got buffed 😎

For me, it's Kirak's complete divination card mission that sets me up. It seems to hit chains that bind on the associated maps pretty often. It almost doesn't matter what the base is for your first six link. I'm actually happier if it rolls me a low level base because they're so much easier to off colour.

That’s a great SSF strat for sure. I do a lot of practice runs to eater/Exarch quest bosses and that’s how I usually get my first six link.

I actually tried this tactic least league but I never got a full set of Chains That Bind after doing everything in my power. Got into red maps on a 5L. Then I ran out of fuses trying to 6L a good chest. Then I quit.

top tip, if you get the right Einhar beast early in the campaign for "create a unique armour" ( Farric Ursa ) one of the only things it can drop at that level is a tabula! I remember my second ever league when I was a noob I was really confused and I got 2 Tabs from Einhar by act 4.

I like the tip about using menagerie recipe and then using tainted currency. You made it look so easy to 6L something without risking a brick. I wish the atlas passive nodes for beyond were better though because on ssf it might be while before you get 10 (or however many) tainted fusings. Do you have any tips on chancing? Is it as simple as force the loot filter to not hide that base, collect a bunch, then use chances on them? I don't know how to reset merchant inventories which is the only other way I can think to get white bases.

Biggest tip was definitely that beastcraft, I always forget about it and so I end up buying crappy already corrupted bases for the tainted fusing but that beastcraft is huge, thank you very much sir.

@Palsteron, I read somewhere that the tainted fusing only turns a five to a six link if the open link is the very last one (i.e., open at the bottom). If that was correct, it would never create a six link at 6:53. Hopefully that info was wrong but can you please verify? Thanks for the great content.

It's not an average of 4, unless failure doesn't remove a socket or link. If you start off with a 4, the expected number of attempts to get to 6 is around 22. If you start over when you go to 3, it's 6, but that reset comes at a cost.

I tend to buy dapper prodigy cards, and then craft and sell the sixlink. Usually there is around a 50/50 to get what I want, but if I dont get what I want I could end up with a great base for someone else, and sell for a profit and just buy new cards.

Early on it is probably good idea to get the corrupted rare strongboxes atlas passive since it is quite effortless to path to. Corrupted items have higher chance of dropping higher linked on average, unless they changed that. In Delirium (or was it Ritual) I got my first six-links from Temple with corrupting tempest.

Didn't mention The White Knight for div card six links. 100 ilvl Astral Plate with Crusader influence! Very handy if you plan on using an explode chest in your build as the cards aren't super expensive and it comes with the influence you need!

6:58 It's been a while since I played and will play tomorrow. Didn't know you could link a corrupted item on the bench with orbs of fusing. I understand tainted ones can modify corrupted but had no idea you could relink corrupted items with normal fusing.

Add the first 4 sockets, one at a time to get the exact color you want. (you can use other stuff here, main point is to prioritize rare colors on cheap sockets) Tainted jeweller's 5th and 6th.

@@Tryfe712 No, you'd have to do that before corruption. Corrupted chromatic orbs are much more random than the regular orbs (i.e. armour bases favour red, evasion favour green, ES favours blue). Another option would be locus of corruption. One of the outcomes is all white sockets.

Best thing is to use tainted chromatic orbs. They ignore the base type causing socket color rolls to be random instead of influenced by the base type. This is the method I use every league

corrupted bases are really good, if you can get decent stats, can carry to endgame body armor. FOr HC the defences is kind of mandatory over a tabula (going 5l better) most builds can have a range of usable covers with not to big loss of dps (5-10%)

Are the tainted fusing really worth it though? Poe Ninja shows them for about 20-30c a pop. If you are spending 5-10, that's 0.5 to 1 Divine to make your 6L - even more if you unlucky. If you are spending that much already, couldn't you just buy a 6L straight up?

Completely depends on the meta and what the league mechanic spits out! Also they always do currency drop adjustments. Usually though, yes it's cheaper to use Tainteds. Don't forget that Fusings are also a lot more expensive Day 1 than they are now.

1 of the best tricks ive found (especially for SSF) run single sacrafice frag's in the map device the mobs can drop a 6l! and its not even that uncommon, only downside, corrupt.

You should just be able to look on the wiki. It lists, say, all the wands, or all the pure evasion chests, in each category etc., usually in ascending order of how good they are. What makes them good or bad is the base stats (base evasion) and implicits. Just some time clicking around the wiki ought to get you the idea.

You can't do that because the item has to be corrupted to use the currency items he is using on it, so if you get 6 socket using the normal method then sure you can recolor.

I never felt quitting the game back in 2015 because I couldn't hit a 6-link. The game was not balance towards mandatory 6-link skills. 6-link back in 2014 was a Luxury nobody needed. Nowadays I would understand. The game is already balanced towards mandatory usage of 6-link in order to be able to play the End-game. I played from 2014 to 2016 and I never felt I need a 6-link. I was doing all content including Atziri which was the hardest boss in the game at that time with a 5-link. The only content that 6-link was kind of important to have was Uber Atziri when it came out - this content was pretty much for Min-maxed characters straight up.

About the tainted orb of fusings, if you're unlucky like what you just experienced, 7 of those will cost you about 175 chaos worth. That's about 2000 normal fusings worth of chaos. Is it cheaper to use the 6 link crafting recipe instead? Oh wait...it would need vaal orbs too right? Okay maybe tainted fusings are still worth it? >_>

Farm BA for 3-4 hours for a tabula rasa Farming BA can also help you gear out everything else for maps. Rare drops to finish off your resistance and such

Nah, maybe only in hardcore. Much better to just do like 10 white maps and you'll get the 20C to buy the Tabula in softcore. 20 maps at the worst.

@@havelthesock6094 Eww, maps. Ain't no body got Mathils Per Second to be dealing that much damage. Gotta farm Oni Goroshi, then farm Tabula Rasa. Then when you get to Kitava 2, you make a new build, rinse and repeat. Farm another Oni, farm another Tabula. Campaign is life.

@@geoffreymatheson9206 it depends on whether your build NEEDS that extra damage. Farming BA is pretty efficient for exp for a while. Most good, ssf friendly builds will not need that tabby. But it's not the worst time investment while you're still getting good exp

at the time of this comment those special fusings are 44 chaos per. if it takes 4 on average then you need 176 chaos and that is about what a divine is worth. as you know the 6L's are about a divine right now. this is not including the other costs. best bet is not to use the special fusing method
