Hi all - had a few requests for this one: the best process I know to manage tasks! Notion, Paper or other - what you think?! 📣 + go to ugmonk.com/bettercreating for 10% off Analog using code 'bettercreating' 🙌

I love the amalgam of so many productivity books into one effort system for yourself. That was the big lesson from Bruce Lee, Paraphrased, take what is good, adapt what is useful, and leave the rest. Thank you for the informative and great-looking system.

Excellent! Thanks my friend, yes that’s been the idea - pick the simple stuff that sticks and actually works for you! Good luck! :)

I prefer my note appp on my fold phone, but this is a compeling return to the anolog way of things.

Nice one - yes since I’ve had it I have to say I’m using it involuntarily every day! Expensive - but then again - i’d say it’s resulted in more pleasurable productivity - so likely paid for itself!

Great tips and great video! Love how the ugmonk system looks I like using the Bullet Jorunal method as thats what stuck with me. I can basically do the same thing here but only need to have a Notebook and Pen. Plus I can bring the notebook everywhere I go. Simon, have you ever used or tried the bullet journal method? !

Thanks - yeah it’s a good system - of course - bits of cars would do the same job if you know what you are doing. I think Analog is very much inspired by ‘Getting Things Done’ Yeah, I do bullet journal - just use a daily tracker version of it in Notion. Very different to a to-do list really thou.

I bullet journal, and built a DIY Card station for on the go. I write a lot, and don't like carrying my Bujo with me. However I can write things on the card, and add to the bullet journal when I get home. My Bujo is my Vault/Catch All the index on the go and whatever is on the The Days Bujo. I think they both compliment each other very well. That Price tag is too expensive for me personally, plus I like to build things. Here in the states, I haven't found my "perfect" travel notebook, but index cards 200 for a dollar, at the dollar store, plus I can stick them on my whiteboard with a magnet. Its a lot of benefits I find from the Index Cards. But yes the Bujo is The Main Vault for me.

Interesting to see an analogue system flawlessly integrating with a digital system

ّ I don’t get it, Simon. Why would i go through this card system when i have it all set up on Notion? Is it just because the cards look cute?

Thinking is the same. Some people prefer paper - simple. It’s about considering different perspectives for me: I’m making videos for a wider range of people beyond Notion users so showing it in a paper system is a good accessibility offer! :) Doesn’t have to be this system - just using cheap index cards is great too. That said - I’m using them daily with Notion and having the view there continuously is really helping me! :)

Yes, it's a very cute, messier notebook. I don't understand outside of aesthetics why this product is pushed. It's a $100.00 gimmick. The only people using this are people who were gifted them from ugmonk or grovemade.

Please give us the clock you used on your home page of Life OS in Notion. It's beautiful but not included in the Life OS package.

Have a look at the Foglietto card system; far more reasonably priced than ugmonk particularly when postage is taken into account.

I feel like you could just buy a pack of blank index cards for $2 and accomplish this. Cool idea though

I’m planning to develop the one which is part of the Complete life OS to work more smoothly across the template beyond being the current connected contacts database - let’s see this week! :)

Hmm, spending a hundred or two hundred bucks for a handful of index cards… I guess that’s a task that I can cross off my list.

Nothing to do with the product - It’s the ideas that matter - just use scrap paper!! All good; save the money :)

It’s £80. For a lump of wood and some cards. If you think you need to spend that to get yourself organised, then your problem isn’t what’s on your desk, it’s what’s in your head. FFS.

@BetterCreating Жыл бұрын
You are right - There is no ‘need’ to spend this - it’s the ideas and thinking that are important (of course!) but if you can afford it and it adds a bit of pleasure to the process: I think that’s hugely valuable. Cheers.

@@siiiiiiiiiimo TBF, I'd argue this video is anything but an 8 minute video about a piece of wood. it's about a task management strategy: it's a little off the mark to consider this a video about a product.
