Mid 40s here and I can attest. I recently pulled a lower back muscle after many years of lifting and I realize now that my body isn't what it used to be. Any preventive maintenance is money well spent. It takes less and less effort to get hurt the older we get.

You know, I really respect that you put timestamps and you are almost "quick" to the point. Almost like a really good essay. I really dislike some youtubers when they have a 'simple' question/answer video where it is 20 minutes long, and I have to search where the answer is. I love the timestamps and really makes it easier for the viewers. You got another sub

My SBD has never bled. Why skimp on a belt when it’s the last you’ll ever buy? Or you can go buy a bunch of belts for $100 each. The SBD belt has been the best investment I’ve made. Depending on how much I eat and drink, my weight can easily fluctuate around 10lbs in a day. Never had to even think twice about having to remove or adjust my belt. This argument is like buying a cheaper bar or rack because it does the same thing. It’s all about choices. No regrets with SBD
@richw765 жыл бұрын
Also something else to consider with the no name lever belts. They use the cheapest levers they can source. I found one that was around 60$ I thought cool, looks like inzer at half the price....... Then 2 months in the lever completely cracked and broke apart in the middle of a heavy squat set. I almost injured me because I was bracing and it completely blew out . Luckily I was doing training max triples so I was able to get my bearings and finish the rep. They sent me a replacement lever but I don't trust it and it's been in my closet for over 3 years. I use a single prong belt that I love. If I ever tried another lever I would spend the extra for an inzer or another premium Brand like pioneer or best belts.

I respect you view but I’ve had my SBD belt for years and it’s been brilliant, still going strong and if it broke for any reason I would buy another one in a heartbeat. It’s true about the suede red bleeding on your shirts but I didn’t care because I wear scruffy shirts to the gym.

Bro, finally someone that nailed it! I've been lifting for man years with no belt and no problem. But I'm much older now and the body doesn't respond like it used to. You mention how an advantage of a prong belt is adjustability so you can make it looser for deadlifts and tighter for squats, but surely thats one of the big pros of the SBD belt over the Inzer? Lever belt that's adjustable? Kick ass video though, thanks

@Droverification5 жыл бұрын
So...if preferring Inzer over SBD almost exclusively due to price...you'd need to include the cost of the SECOND belt needed to for deadlifts, since it's not feasible to adjust an Inzer twice every week to be both tight for squats and loose for deads. With an SBD you only need one belt that adjusts on the fly for a looser fit as needed. Worth at least the price of two Inzer's for this reason.

one thing about leather...pre broken in probably means it is cheaper leather that will not last as long and wil get waaay too soft eventually. you want the best quality leather that may start out harder but will slowly over time break in to your body and because of the use of premium leather, will last forever. just like baseball gloves...pre broken in means crappy.

The regular strong sleeves & sbd sleeves seem to last the last the longest. I bought the gangster sleeves. They have the most compression but ripped after 5 months. At 27cm they are shorter than the sbd sleeves. Doubt I will buy them again. The sbd stiff long wrist wraps are the best by far. Five years old & still good. Inzer is the best IMO.
