Hi, not a flame or anything but I just thought I'd point out that you;re absolutely NOT supposed to press out on the clean and jerk, you can only "snap" the weight up in a "jerk", not press it. Even a hint of pressing will result in a foul and zero lift. The same applies to the snatch although it;s essentially impossible to press the weight in that lift.

Great video all round. Chloe is a very talented young lady and a brilliant teacher too. As for Eddie, this is the Eddie that we all like to see. As one of the strongest men to ever walk the planet, Eddie showed great humility in learning from a younger person. He also provided us all with a great tip about avoiding Ego lifting and avoiding injury. This video is a brilliant example of Eddie, as both a man and a father, teaching his son and his audience about learning from others no matter who they might be, showing respect and creating a positive environment for all to flourish. Bravo to all involved in this video.

Olympic lifting is the most fun lifting I've found. It demands strength, power, flexibility, range of motion, balance/stability, timing, form, speed, confidence, and mental grit. Am I good, no, not really I can clean and jerk bodyweight and snatch about 70% of that. But hey what percentage of the world can hold their own body weight overhead? @dummy9517 Жыл бұрын
@@Lee-ic2yn yeah but that's actually a pretty poor judgement. Transforming from that "more awkward" to proper weightlifting is a MASSIVE JOB, and the mobility it needs is crazy. Just explosive DL to front raise to getting under the bar is a massive task, also front squatting and cleaning will take time due to flexibility and mobility issues, but it can be taught to some lighter guys(like Novikov comes to mind, he can actually jerk, saw his stone bb lifts) Sure, these guys even with bad technique can oversnatch and overclean even many of the middleweight male weightlifters, but that's not the point.
