it def is about who you know, network network! Keep in touch with your pharmacy classmates too. In the mean time, keep beefing up your resume -- wherever you work, keep the people you want to use as a recommendation in mind and continue to perform/excel at work, the pharmacy world is very very small, I def agree with that because someone will know someone and the difference between you getting a job could even be from word of mouth of a mutual (my case a lot of times is someone my new boss knows asks someone else that is connected with my organization and they get inside scoop on how I am as a worker, etc) basically just treat your job like you're still on pharmacy school rotation and trying to make a good impression, so if you're working in retail, and are a floater --> work to become a staff pharmacist and/or maybe eventually becoming a pharmacy manager (though I don't really recommend that given today's retail picture), and keep looking on job postings and asking around within your network, mostly all PBM pharmacists came from retail backgrounds. If you haven't already, make sure you have your resume professionally looked at, I actually even had a pro resume writer revise mine and i've been updating it since. LMK if you have any further q's!

I'm a PBM pharmacist, so I work as a pharmacist for an insurance/health plan and approve/deny prior authorization requests sent in from doctors offices for commercial or medical benefits for patients.
