Dan Gable Ultra XL (late 80’s early 90’s) They are dark blue and white with a true split sole (only stitching, no plastic or rubber.) 2nd place OG teal, pink, and yellow Adidas (mid to late 90’s)

The original ASICS ultra flex were my gold tier shoe! The non-split sole with the orange dots on the sole. I had Black with silver stripes, Red with silver stripes, and my all time favorite Blue with Gold stripes! Super light, and looked great. Classic simple! When the split soles came out and they discontinued these, I bought 6 pairs at $15 a pair on close out special! Wore them all out on the mat, except the last pair that was brand new for my wedding! Close 2nd are the old original Dan Gables. White with blue stripes and the orange dots on the sole. Had these back in JR high in the early early 80’s. Worst by far we’re the Mike Deanna shoes! Ugly all black with a white lightning bolt on the side and felt like you were wearing snow boots. Stretched out and moved around on your foot like a flip flop. Pure suckage!

The original white and black adistars that came out before the black kendall Cross version are my favorite! From the mid 90's to early 2000's they were the "it" shoe when you saw someone wearing them you knew that were a stud!

I think your categorization is pretty spot on. I also have had or do have a good amount on the list. The rwb cael v1s are in my rotation or coaching shoes along with og inflicts in red. Sold my kolat speeds, rulons, and asics international lytes and regret it daily.

I still have a pair or 2 of the Black Lytes (JY22). Also have a standard cheaper pair of Brutes, and a blue pair of the older style asics where I cut out the gold emblems which allowed them to stretch out more... that pair I've also had to a cobbler to perfectly restitch them. The best shoes I ever had were the Black-White-Teal Gable Comps, Asics Gel Assults, Greco Supremes and so many others. Probably the worst shoe ever made was the Cliff Keen Black Widows... those things looked like fire back then but would completely fall apart in 2 or 3 weeks.

Theyre Actually white and Green with a gray soles. I've owned 3 pairs over the past 30 years and I still own a pair.. had to replace the the rubber pads on the soles due to the rubber getting hard and cracking.
