2011 to 2013 was an unmatched era. Artists like Ephixa, Tristam, Pegboard Nerds, Varien, and Mr Fiji Wiji etc - young creators pushing boundaries - delivered fresh sounds week after week. Every time you hit play, you didn’t know what to expect, only that it was going to be incredible. Highlight of my young years fr.

This is basically the story from you both how you got into monstercat and i like that. I still remember i was binge listening to Monstercat at pandemic days at 2020, i started getting into MC there. For me my best year would be in between 2017-2018, especially knowing the label was separated into 2 at the time.

I think I’ve joined the Family around the 023 compilation. I think 025 Treshold and Uncaged Vol.10 are the best compilations, Instinct 6 was also really great

In general, I’m mainly a progressive and electro house fan, but for Monstercat, my favorite songs are more dubstep-heavy than other labels. My favorite year for Monstercat is 2013: 1. Tristam - Truth (Dabin Remix) 6. Pegboard Nerds - Lawless 7. Pegboard Nerds - Close Encounter 8. Vicetone - Heartbeat (Rameses B Remix) 9. Pegboard Nerds - Revenge of the Nerds (VIP) 10. Pegboard Nerds - 20K My second-favorite is 2012, because even though there are fewer, they are PEAK in quality: 1. Pegboard Nerds - Self Destruct 2. Rezonate - The Phoenix 3. Vicetone - Harmony My third-favorite is 2014: 1. Astronaut - Champions 2. Astronaut - Rain (MitiS Remix) 3. Noisestorm - Surge 4. Au5 - Follow You (Virtual Riot Remix) 5. Pegboard Nerds - Here It Comes 6. Varien & SirensCeol - Moonlight My fourth-favorite is 2011: 1. Project 46 - Limitless My fifth-favorite is 2015: 1. Rich Edwards - We Are Everything post-2015, I’m not nearly as much a fan of. This goes for Monstercat and for EDM in general.

I have the Monstercat art book, the antagonist cat doesn't have a name. Its just written as "???" People refer them as "evil cat" though

imo either 2021 or 2018 had best music overall. 2018 with the introduction of instinct was incredible and they had a great run until recently in 2023 when they cut it back to one instinct track per week i feel like quality on all 3 labels somehow went down

ain't no WAY bro put 2013 in C tier that's literally their best year mannnnn also 2021 was REALLY solid, ESPECIALLY for Silk. this was where instinct started to slip but it wasn't quite in the awful state it was in in 2023-now. imo 2023 should be at the absolute bottom. that was by far the lowest point for the label in terms of quality.

There is no frickin’ way 2013 is in C and 2012 is in A bruh Razor Sharp, Halcyon, Video Boy, Sweet 7MD’s songs, Moonland … Flight!? And 2015 100% belongs in S. Move 2016 to A and you have my list.
