First time I saw one of your Videos. I just want to add two things. You definitely do not need to know what all the numbers mean, but: The Sigma lens shown is made for FullFrame Cameras and the ZV-E10 is an APS-C Camera (Sensor is smaller). Therefore the 16mm shown looks more like a 24mm and the 11mm looks more like a 16mm. To get the equivalent of a Full Frame Lens you have to roughly multiply by 1.5 (16*1.5=24mm). I am just saying this so people who are starting out and buying a cheap Full Frame camera (like the Canon R8) should not make the mistake and buy an 11mm for Full Frame. That would be almost FishEye und does not look anything like your picture. No hate comment. I just want to help. If there are any further question, no matter who, let me know. I will happily answer them.

Hi Vannesa, can you please take a video about protecting your personal information as a blogger, I saw a video of a blogger, who some sick dude stalked, and he figured out where she lives, where she is working out, etc. When I went through the comments, I was terrified, some bloggers were talking about cases where even their kids were kidnapped, for money. Also, the case where some sick dude calculated when the girl had menstruation, only by images of food she eats and her mood swings, that happened in Korea. Bloggers were talking about, not shooting videos of themselves near windows, so the view will be visible, also, don't shoot videos near street names, with shop bags, etc. Also better avoid telling where you live, will be great to have a list of things better to avoid as a blogger, to minimize stalking.

Good look. Smart lighting. Nice going. Tips, for setup 1: get that mic off the camera and get it close to your face. Hand held is okay, but other wise: We hear the room/ echo. Get a magic arm, clamp it to the tripod, and put it just out of frame and close to your face. Use an extention chord to keep the connection with the camera.. Re: putting most money in the lens: put the most money in the sound. Cheap microphones can sound good, just make sure they are close to your face.

A really wide-angle lens will distort your face when you're closer to it, in photography if they're doing headshots you usually use a 50 mm or a 70 mm lens because you don't get a bunch of the face warping effect. Now it's something like an 11 mm lens you'd have to be decently far back to keep from getting some of that lens distortion. I've been working with cameras for years, don't worry you look fine on the camera, just kind of bring that to your intention in case you didn't know but I wouldn't get too close to it or you might start to look like a fisheye lens sortof Now on the zve 10 if you run it in 4k 30 that will make it crop and even more but you can put it on 4K 24 frames per second and you'll get a wider field of view, and if you're using the lens stabilization on the camera it may also crop in so you're wide lens may not be as wide as it could be if you're running 4K 30 frames per second and have the stabilizer on, that'll make it crop in big time. I turn the Lin stabilization off because it's always up on a stand or a tripod and I keep it on 4K 24 frames per second and I get the widest field of view possible

As a recovering blue yeti user: do not get an usb mic. The amount of money you save in the mic purchase will quickly be lost in the amount of editing and babysitting it to get a proper/ acceptable sound. That time will result in less videos made more lost assets and general frustration. Shure IS expensive but these things also have a big impact on productivity. Also @VanessaLau just called my cramped work room a hell-hole in fluent feng-shui. Like damn that place looks cleaner than an ikea ad.

Which do you prefer between the Sony and pocket 3 ? And which one do you think you can use for both vlogging and normal one on one KZbin videos ?
@StrategicallyHelpful5 ай бұрын
I have ONLY been using the Pocket 3 since it arrived. Both my kitchen video I posted 2 weeks ago - walking around the space filming, and the empties video I just posted - a talking head style were filmed on pocket 3. I still know very little about videography so the pocket 3 has been phenomenal it helping me overcome that skills gap. The mic auto connects and sounds great. , and I’ve recorded plenty of footage without it, using the onboard mic. Both work great. I’ve purchased some fun, inexpensive accessories and am finding it’s soo much easier to pick it up and start filming/ capturing the b-roll for future content. My Sony is destined to be my top down filming camera and will prolly live on the top down mount for extended periods because I have no use for it since I have the pocket 3. I am not striving for exceptionally high quality video, so I can’t speak to that level, but the quality of image I’m able to achieve with my lack of knowledge is great. I use the handheld pocket three on the external battery mounted on a ulanzi tripod. It’s perfect for filming from counter height whether I’m sitting or standing. If you’re considering buying and your budget will allow, I would definitely go with the entire creator kit option because I am consistently using the extras that came in the kit. 👍

Solid breakdown on the gear, really shows the importance of a good setup. Quick tip for entrepreneurs: if you're doing lots of interviews or podcasts, consider a dynamic mic over a condenser to reduce background noise, especially in untreated rooms. It's a small change that can significantly boost your audio quality.
