Lovely mod! Do you have any plans to add different types of attacks to weapons or will you stick to a more vanilla-esque feel? For example, shoving away a heard of enemies in front of you to quickly get some distance, or heavy attacks that take longer to charge up but hit for more damage? another mod like this would be epic combat, which actually gives combat a different feel as well, as well as a special for each weapon, I do believe it has compatability with spartans weapons and shields or what its called I think.

@@Laughing_Dragon The epic fight mod is great, but it's a complete overhaul of the vanilla system and exclusive to forge. While this an overhaul, it still feels like it fits in with the vanilla game to me

This mod works FLAWLESSLY with first person model and not enough animations, which I was very surprised to see

There aren't any crashes or anything but, I'd advise anyone else using First Person Model with it to set the standing body model back a bit in the config, otherwise you'll almost see the back of your torso during some of the lunge animations.

@@cacac-hp6qt and if you use it with not enough animations, your sword will be shown twice on your waist. To fix this you've gotta make display recent items false in the config txt file. There's no option about displaying recent items on mod menu config. It took me 3 hours to figure out which mod causes the second sword display on the waist.

Normally, I watch your videos and see the mods and am kinda like "Ok, that's kinda cool." But this is the first one I actually downloaded and tried, and let me say, IT IS WORTH IT! It makes the game feel so much better, and the new weapons give a fresh feel considering the only new weapons we've ever gotten were the trident and crossbow.

If you want to make this mod even better you can combine it with the first person model mod to shred opponents while admiring your own armor and seeing your combat stance in first person

I've been waiting for you to upload this mod since it came out, I love it! Just a few people has been using this mod, hopefully now more people will enjoy this mod as much as me. There's also a Feinting mechanic, I think you forgot to mention, after you attack you can instantly cancel the animation, therefore baiting the enemy, which is really good in PvP since you get free hits if the other don't parry

I prefer epic fight just because it stops you, because it gives way more momentum and feel to the swings than running around and swinging a sword around. Sure, it's not as comfortable, but still more fun, at least for me.

Not to mention you have to actually time your attacks, blocks and dodges properly. The only thing I didn't really like in Better Combat is that you practically don't get punished for anything. In Epic Fight, it's pretty different, takes some learning

And epic fight also changes all the vanilla mobs too! The Ender Dragon feels like an actual boss fight with it coming to the ground and doing new attacks

There's actually a config in better combat that lets you set the speed multiplier while attacking. I guess if you really want you can set it to 0 so you can't move while performing an attack.

epic fight also has combos and more movesets and u have moveset addons that have complex combo patterns along with rolls and such when sprinting and better blocking

Just another thing about Epic Fight, it also changes all enemies to have their own attack animations, especially the enderman and a honest to God an actually good ender dragon boss fight. Though you might be able to combine the two mods at once, since the epic fight mod gives options to disable it features for the player.

Have fun! I recommend the MultiMC launcher instead of the official one, and I recommend sticking to modrinth and curseforge for your mod downloads. There's a lot of dodgy sites out there for downloading mods, and in my experience they don't even give you the correct version half of the time. Of course another easy way to do it is to look back through this channels uploads and get the links from the description!

this mod looks really cool but sadly it is only on the more recent versions of Minecraft (1.18-1.19.2) meaning most modded players who play on earlier versions like 1.12.2 or 1.16.5 will not be able to see it in most modpacks yet unless they make their own.

The mod makes dual-wielding way more overpowered than it real life. It also just makes the combat more OP in general, since basically every weapon is given sweeping edge that does the same damage to every entity hit. Also the attack cooldowns are shorter.

Parry This! Is another combat overhaul mod that I've taken a liking too. Instead of replacing combat, it adds mechanics to vanilla combat to make it way more engaging. It has the titular parry, dodging, backstabs, weapon classes and new weapons, a useful quiver, and other stuff. It hits the perfect balance for me

You should try out the BlockFront Mod! It's a WW2 multiplayer mod with its own built-in matchmaking systems and custom maps. The guns are very realistic and different maps can even alter the atmosphere, making the game dark and loomy.

One of the coolest gun mods is a mod called PUBG mod .... It has very cool animations and different stuff . You can also play battle royale with your friends with this mod ........ Another mod that I didn't see in your videos is 7 days to mine mod ..... It changes the game totally .... Even the menu background , crafting , textures , villages , etc . Really like your videos .... Keep up your great mod combinations

i was just thinking about how nice it'd be to have something like this! the epic fight mod is great, but it's sooo slow, i personally prefer a more fast pace, hack n' slash kind of feeling and this mod provides just that! the one other thing i'd like to see from a mod like this is special moves like the old Zelda Sword Skills mod, like double tapping left or right to do a spin slash, double tapping up to do a lunging strike, and double tapping down to do a DMC style launcher attack

A very cool little thing to wake up to but you forgot to emphasize one thing that keeps Epic Fight in most of my packs: Epic Fight auto enhances all mobs in vanilla and some beyond to be a much more challenging fight. Heck combine with Advanced AI and they get so devilishly sneaky and make every fight crazy! I don't think Better Fight does from what I saw? I will be cross testing it though as it looks like a blast! Thanks for telling us about it AsianHalSquat! No mater how has good and well made show cases of mods I love how you get your feet on the ground by telling and showing us in game how these mods are useful as well as caution us to think before just loading it on every pack.

You can use both, just don't switch to combat mode and turn off(or was it on) filter animations so it only changes when in combat mode
