In this reaction we take a look at Dharma Speaks video titled: "Bhagavad Gita made easy - Part 1/3", which focuses only on the first six chapters. The first six chapters of the Bhagavad Gita, a revered Hindu scripture, lay the foundation for the spiritual discourse between Lord Krishna and Prince Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Beginning with Arjuna's moral dilemma and reluctance to engage in battle, Krishna imparts profound wisdom on the nature of duty (dharma), the self (atman), and the path to liberation (moksha). The chapters delve into the concepts of karma yoga, the yoga of selfless action, emphasizing the importance of performing one's duty without attachment to the fruits of actions. Krishna elucidates the principles of renunciation, discipline, and devotion, guiding Arjuna towards a deeper understanding of the eternal soul, the transient nature of existence, and the necessity of spiritual detachment. Through philosophical discourse and practical guidance, these chapters set the stage for the profound spiritual teachings that unfold in the remainder of the Bhagavad Gita.

Exactly, its not bad to be arrogant but at some point you get attached to the outcome which may happen according to you or may not happen like you wished for. With arrogance you think you are the master of outcome but that's not the case everytime. You can only do the deed or karm but what will happen is out of your control. It will sadden you after sometime and after that you will slowly start to feel that YOU are a failure. Moreover, its not the reality itself. Feeling happy because of doing something good, to have something good, to feel the happiness is not wrong but arrogance itself will lead to attachment. Therefore, Krishna didn't said to have no desire, because without any goal or desire, you can't work but he told to renunciate the attachment to the outcome of every action. Then its doesn't matter whether you get success or failure, it will not effect you that much. Even if you fail you will still have the encouragement to do karm again because failure doesn't matter to you at all. Just stand up and give your best because that's your karm and hence success will eventually come to you. There is always a deep meaning behind this teachings and very minute details to look for.

There is nothing wrong in enjoying your achievements or money as the guy was doing in the picture. It’s just we as humans need to learn to get above it all. A wise person will see you as you might see a kid flexing/enjoying his candies that he got on Halloween. Get it? You are happy for him but that no longer concerns you that you need to do that in your life. Similarly a wise man would be happy for your happiness but he’ll not care about it much because he is deriving his satisfaction in life from something divine. We all should aspire to be like that. In short your material objects shouldn’t control you or your emotions rather you should be the one in control.

Why Can't I be arrogant? One should not be arrogant because it leads to ego and separation from the truth. Arrogance is the result of attachment to the false self, which is based on the identification with the body and mind. The true self is beyond the body and mind, and is eternal, infinite, and perfect. Am i become a robot if i perform action without desire? In Chapter 3, Verse 5 of the Bhagavad Gita, Krishn said "No one can remain without action even for a moment; all are helplessly driven to action by the modes of nature." This means that action is an inevitable part of being human. However, it is important to perform actions with the right intention and without attachment to the results. By acting selflessly and dedicating the results to me, you can be free from the bondage of karma. It is not about being a robot, but about acting in accordance with dharma and fulfilling your duty without getting entangled in desire. Remember, I(Krishn) am the ultimate doer behind all actions, and by surrendering to me, you can find true freedom and inner peace.

Expectation is akin to desire. When expectations are excessively high, they distort your perception of reality based on sensory input, making it significantly removed from the actual situation. Lowering your expectations, or having none at all, leads to a more accurate perception. Overly high expectations, when unmet, can lead to various negative emotional states. Therefore, focus on performing your duties without attachment to the outcomes; that is the essence.

In the concept of 'action without desire, ego, and arrogance equals inaction (no Karma),' it's implied that one remains untouched by karma. He meant that when one performs actions without desire, ego, or arrogance, they remain unaffected by karma. To put it simply, consider two soldiers. The first soldier, when deployed to the borders or battle zone, acts solely out of duty without any personal desires. The first soldier deployed does his actions solely out of duty, without any personal desires. His duty at that moment is to protect or defend his nation or the world. He has nothing against his opponent. He harbors no iII wiII towards his opponents and hence remains unaffected by the karmic consequences resulting from personal desires. He remains free from the karmic consequences of personal desires. Conversely, the second soldier acts driven by personal desires, ego, or arrogance. He seeks personal benefits such as promotions, the satisfaction of ego, the fulfillment of personal pride or personal arrogance. By acting in this manner, he becomes bound by the karmic consequences of his actions. Unknowingly, he accumulates karma resulting from self-serving actions. He unknowingly accumulates the karma resulting from his actions due to his personal desires. This principle extends beyond soldiers to people in various occupations. This does not hold true just for soldiers but also for people engaged in different occupations. I hope you get the point.

It's saying that karma returns.. when you do good you will get good.. when you do bad you will get bed.. but what if you have no desire to get good or refrain from bad. You have nothing to do with good or bad in your actions.. that time the action will become inaction means karma will not return or if it return it won't make any difference in you.. you will become untouched by Karma.. because you are already uplifted from the sorrow or happiness of bad and good..

13:40 my answer to that would be, that one thing is INSTANCES (moments where we, just like everyone else, can feel a bit arrogant due to circumstances) and another is the ENTIRE LIFE, where the individual like the one used an example in the video, lives his whole life by pursuing material possessions, their own benefit over the benefit of all, forgetting what’s truly important in life. The first is human nature, the second is indulgence. 😅😊

Humility is the door for detachment n self awakening. Pride ? Of what? When one feels pride 'I' & 'Me' steps up, which is a materialistic body realm. 'Param Aatma' or 'Supreme Soul/Self' feels 'Nothing' in Pride & 'Everything' in 'Pain n Peace'. As nothing is attained as 'I/Me' in this universe, if felt attained one needs to understand there are lot of external factors that play around with or without our knowledge to attain that. THE JOURNEY OF EVERY AATMA/SOUL TOWARDS PARAM AATMA/SUPREME SOUL is called LIFE and it is CONTINUOUS in cycles until it attains SUPREME.

DHARM- Dharm/Duty/Responsibility is not something you're born into or given by others. This stringent rules came very later in the Indian history. Dharm (as per vedas) is something You've CHOSEN for yourself OR after attending "GURUKUL" (home of the gurus/teachers, essentially that times school cum university) you've found you are good at and want to pursue. For eg. After attending a military school and joining the military your Duty/Dharm is to fight for your country, betraying that responsibility or doing something for material gain while being a soldier is BREAKING AWAY FROM YOUR DHARM. Your Duty is as a "soldier" not "foot soldier" you can rise up in ranks...but your Duty/Dharm is still of a "soldier".

how do u get spiritual in a battle field? I guess people get more spiritual in a battle field then in a church " God save me". "God let us all go home to my spouses". "God protect us". "God is with America". I am sure this kind of words are often used in a battle field. God Krishna stopped time while he was teaching Arjuna. Both of you look old enough but have teenage understanding. Arrogance is bliss enjoy it. Start doing things selflessly, not for your own benefits but to help the needy without any expectation of any reward and see what changes you from inside. Do it as an exercise.

The need of the situation that satisfies, will be ur karma, eg. The duty changes as per situations, there are reincarnation casses, well documented proving the soul only changes bodies, when a person understands the real knowledge the person automatically changes. And it needs meditation as well. Action without desire means what is needed to balance out the situation, the situation can be anything.eg. there is bomb and one would have to difuse it, there can be consequences but will do it because its needed. Its an example, in meditation, once the one can peep into his own soul the world within, then u would urself and starts gaining more and more knowledge of himself and that time that person will become joyous and one would find the balance the most important goal should be to know urself ur own self via meditation the inner urself would be the greater teacher because u have the divine self in u as well.

Looking into the past you can see how arrogance and no morals lead to colonialism, nazism, other radical ideologies, now you might say it doesn’t need to be that extreme, but somehow the nature of these things is such that you start with the idea of enjoying and by the end of it, you become a totally diff and person, and end up on the bad side. Hence Krishna says, the one who can control his/her senses can overcome anything and see the ultimate reality ! Jais shree Krishna

Krishn is not God, but follower of sanatan Vedic dharm(god guidance for human). Om 🕉 is the only true God. This video does not meet the real bhagvat geeta. In Vedas God says, that it never take avatar/birth.God is formless, shapeless, infinite bliss, complete consciousness, and the only God and truth. Hari Om 🕉

When it is said in geeta action without desire it does not mean you shouldn't have the result of your effort ,it means you shouldn't have the desire for the result. For example if you are doing a job then you shouldn't be thinking or worrying about your pay you should rather focus your attention on how to do your work in the best way because that is in your control how much pay you get or how much hike you get is not in your control that is what is karma yoga. One should submit the result of his work to krishna(SUPREME GOD) he should think that whatever I have is because of you and am grateful to you for that and whatever you feel I should have you can give that much to me and I must not expect anymore. " You can anyway not have more than what God wants you to have but the point is you should not have an unnecessary desire to have more and you should be satisfied with what you have that is karma yoga in real sense. Hope that helps

He take that role himself upon him backing out from that at the time of dire need is not good at all What happen when a solder leave his job at the time of war the consequences will fall upon genaral people do you justify that situation like maybe he didn't feel like doing it ( It's better to not take the role in the first place he never trained in that is a good choice)

And Kings are arrogant generally, one dosent need to mention it, Kauravas were arrogant to the maximum qhen they refused to give pandavas their part of tge wealth and refused to give even 5 villages and not even the land to the tip of a needle, thats arrogance and pandavas were actually fighting that extreme arrogance.

So be arrogant and delve into negativities. It's your CHOICE to act with the Sense of "I". Do not blame Gita and Lord Krishna IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO UNDERSTAND and ACCEPT the Lesson. None of us can reach that stage. But we understand why this is being said.

12:40 you sound like you are talking about confidence - not arrogance. They’re not the same thing. Dharma is about competing with oneself and not with others. Challenge yourself. Not others. In reference to a soldier wanting to be a captain.
