Wow I’m actually 27 and God has slowly been doing the same with me it started tonight when I was just listening to an audio Bible and I heard the passage about the unclean animals and the animals that are clean and I immediately jumped up and I felt so led tonight eat the unclean animals anymore I felt like got himself was putting something up on my heart telling me the things that you’re eating or unclean I want you to be close to me I want you to love me but to love me it’s to keep what I said and I also have been really feeling like I want to learn everything that I can about the Jewish way of doing thingsBecause Jesus was a Jew and the Jewish people are the chosen people so the way they do things must be the right way of doing things and God’s really been putting it on my heart to get closer to the juice way of doing things

@@brooklyndestiny446 I know exactly what you mean , I was reading today in 1Corinthains about how we are free in Christ , but don’t abuse that freedom. We are free to eat , but eating to much will lead to gluttony (same with drinking ) It’s been hard , but giving your eating habits to God , will completely change the way you look at food . I emotionally eat , and now with God i don’t have to look at food anymore to run to it . I run to safe arms , I run to God .

I’ve been following the Old Testament food laws for quite a while now. Paired with a mix of calisthenics, weights, and throw in some cardio workouts here and there, I’ve noticed that I’ve gotten exponentially stronger, fitter, and most importantly, healthier. To be honest, I love meat but I also make a point to include vegetables and seeds in basically every single meal. And yes, I basically have given up pork and shellfish. My family, friends, and coworkers even said it themselves. My waistline got smaller but my chest, arms, back, and legs got bigger and shapelier. Some even (jokingly) accused me of using steroids when in truth all I’m doing is a diet plan inspired by the Bible. And let me tell you, it is not a joke. Eat what God tells you to eat and work out regularly, I promise you’re going to get stronger and fitter. I would say even Jesus Himself was a proponent of fitness. He worked as a carpenter (strength), He walked all over Judea (cardio), He ate according to His Father’s Laws (nutrition), and He kept the Sabbath (rest). If Jesus did all this to keep Himself healthy, I think we should also follow His example.

Hi there, Although in favour of avoiding unclean foods as they defile the body, the temple of the LIVING GOD as per 1 Corinthians 3:17 "If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." (KJV), I would recommend to opt or work towards an organic vegan diet (preferably raw, the Edenic diet, if you can) due to disease in animals on the rise (e.g mad cow diseases and tuberculosis). With things like radiation and mercury, fish ought to be avoided too, for instance, wild salmon (radiation) and tuna (mercury). Furthermore, fish farmed too ought to be avoided, i believe, due to to use of GMO feed and beneficisl nutrients be a lack e.g farmed salmon may not contain Omega 3 Fatty Acids as wild salmon obtains it from algae in the seas. Best wishes 💙💙💙

Thanks so much for your comment! I was a non believer for many, many years. I've experienced countless situations like this where I was stunned to find that what the Bible teaches has actually been proven over and over to be historically and scientifically accurate and reliable. And if that is the case, then it is certainly worth giving careful consideration to what the Bible teaches about spiritual matters.

For weeks now I’ve been only eating some bread and fruit in the mornings with usually nothing for lunch, and a big dinner with fatty meat and vegetables. When I combine this with at least 8 hours of sleep and focusing on God and the blessings he’s given me instead of focusing on the negative, I feel more happy, energetic, far less prone to arguments with family, and I’m pretty sure I’m less likely to sin, including sin we don’t realize that we are doing like cursing at things/people.

I like to learn the science behind a lot of this. With pigs they have a 4 hour digestive process and the toxins actually get trapped in their fat. With rabbits, you can actually have a type of protein starvation if you were to make it your main protein source because it doesn’t have enough fat for us to survive. If you look at it from an ancient, desert lifestyle, then you can see how avoiding certain things is very beneficial.

I have been a carnivore for two years now and healed many conditions. I have been researching this a lot but the main thing is elimination of highly processed food is the goal. Eating the food God intended for us to eat is important for health. The fruits and vegetables in markets are full of chemicals but also with technology to keep and grow food all year round. Food that is not intended to be eaten all year round. So when it comes to fruit and vegetables, the only ones I'll be eating are what we grow in your garden and pick from the land that grows natural. Great video, God bless and live healthy 🙏

Thanks for the encouragement. I love that idea on Genesis 6:19! It goes along nicely with Noah being aware of clean/unclean before the flood, but only being told he could eat clean meats after the flood. There is definitely some gray area in the scriptures as to precisely why the provision for eating meat was given. I do, however, see a strong correlation between what we are allowed to eat when death is part of creation and when it's not.

Let me explain why pigs, some birds, shell fish and some animals can’t be eaten by Jews. Pigs, wild cats (panthers, lions, etc.) eat anything including humans. Shell fish and creatures without scales and fins (shrimp, crab, squid, oysters, clams, etc.) are bottom feeders and eat dead things. Catfish does the same as does shark, gar, etc. all eat dead things. Birds eat meat and some kill or eat dead anything. Horses, giraffes, snakes don’t have a cloven hoof or chew the cud. Eating good things are good for you. Go on any Jewish cooking site and follow a few recipes.

Not all christians eat unclean meat. @@honeybadger8942 Glad to meet you and know that you practice the religion and not merely claim to be associated to it. I want to clear that my intention was to ask genuin question, not criticizing any religion, just in case my question had any unintentional negative tone. I have hardly met 2-3 Christians in my entire period of living in Christian counties (20 years now) who did not eat pork, one of which also did not consume alcohol. Perhaps that number could be higher but not everyone likes to talk about these matters, regardless exceptionally few were in that category. That’s the reason I asked why priests do not remind masses to not eat or drink what’s prohibited? Before going in to the details, I want to make a clear distinction on the comparison you’ve made. Christians eating pork is against the teaching of The Holy Bible whereas Muslims eating meat is not against the teachings of The Holy Quran. In The Holy Quran The God Has permitted all the healthy, clean, nutritious food in general except swine, blood, animal which dies itself etc.. Furthermore, The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has taught Muslims to select what’s healthy and clean. General rule of thumb is that if a bird/animal hunts with its claws/paws Muslims don’t eat that such as eagle, or cat. As for the pork it is clearly forbidden however if it is a matter of life and death due to starvation, Muslims can even eat pork just to survive on it. Islam teaches moderation, it is not sustainable to give up on meat because it is perceived unclean these days. It would be naive to think that veggies and plant based products are not affected by the profit maximization, you must be aware of gmo veggies and plant based products. Indeed It is possible to get non gmo and organic veggies but so is meat. It is up-to an individual’s capacity to trade off organic food vs convenience, and cost.

@@Hisloyalservantslistenlove613c Wa Alaikum Assalam, aleichem shalom thank you for the feedback my friend. True, humans cannot do everything even fully follow religious teachings, everyone has limits. However can the religious teachings be universally practiced? The answer would be subjective, but Quran says that it’s teachings are universally applicable by using the formula given in Quran itself i.e to following the nature with balanced approach. If I could explain that, it means something that is permissible in the religion could be useful to you but harmful for me, we need to make adjustments accordingly. Another example could be that of the timing of an action e.g. competing in a car race and driving fast would be considered ok but doing the same in public traffic would be wrong. Christians dont have any restrictions on food because during Jesus time he saw people being more worried about foods making them unclean and not bothering about their sins. Thats why he told people that it is not the food that makes a person unclean but their actions do.

Key verse is #5: For it is sanctified by (#1:) the word of God AND (#2:) prayer. So, in order for it to be sanctified (or set apart as holy and, consequently, appropriate for consumption) it must meet the 2 requirements shown above. The word of God clearly outlines what is clean and what is unclean. So, it doesn't matter how much and how long you pray over your pork roast -- it's still unclean because it was never nor ever will be, sanctified by the Word!

[3] So, being sent on their way by the church, they passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and brought great joy to all the brothers. [4] When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they declared all that God had done with them. [5] But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees rose up and said, “It is necessary to circumcise them and to order them to keep the law of Moses.” [6] The apostles and the elders were gathered together to consider this matter. [7] And after there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe. [8] And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us, [9] and he made no distinction between us and them, having cleansed their hearts by faith. [11] But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will.” [12] And all the assembly fell silent, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul as they related what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles. [13] After they finished speaking, James replied, “Brothers, listen to me. [14] Simeon has related how God first visited the Gentiles, to take from them a people for his name. I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself, but it is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean. For if your brother is grieved by what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. By what you eat, do not destroy the one for whom Christ died. So do not let what you regard as good be spoken of as evil. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. God wants us to remember to keep his Sabbath holy which is still the seventh day now. Sunday is not the Sabbath. It is the vulnerable day of the sun established in 321 A.D. by Constantine the Roman Emperor the Catholic Church calls it the mark of her ecclesiastical authority in other words it’s the mark of the beast. As the Catholic Church is the beast power. It will soon be enforced by law to keep Sunday and those who do not keep it will not be able to buy or sell and eventually get the death penalty.

Your call as a Christian to return to the dietary laws of the Pentateuch is is admirable, a giant step in the progress of mankind in its relationship with the Creator. However at 81 I a Jew living in Israel have harkened back to the pre-death era ordinance of Gen.1:29 i.e. veganism accompanied by Gen. 1:28 to rule over the animal kingdom but not to eat them. Animals for me are pets, part of the chain of life, and work animals. E.g. chickens are there for fertilizer only. My mindset is back to Eden, before temptation ftook over in the form of the snake, and the unclean abhorrent looking delicacies as octopus, lobster etc. Matthew was right to beseech the Creator not to lead us into temptation. I am not a Christian nor a Buddhist nor a Hindu nor Moslem but a Jewish eclectic who as our Ethics of the Fathers (Pirkei Avoth) states that a wise man learns from everybody, yoga and Kung Fu and even Ramadan type fasting are also commendable in furthering our beneficial relationship with the Creator who seeks a Messianic era for mankind as the Americans have it - E pluribus unum.

Hi! The New Covenant was a better Covenant given to humanity. The law wasn’t done away with, God put it in us! The law is now written in our hearts, and we have been given the Holy Spirit which empowers us to walk out what our flesh cannot naturally obey. Yeshua/ Jesus said in Matthew 5, “Think not that I am come to abolish the law or prophets. I am not come to abolish but to fulfill [complete]. Christ came to teach the law the right way/ to the fullest extent! I have started eating biblically clean because I realized that Christ came to teach the law/ Torah [instructions of God] to the fullest extent. He came in His Father’s name [authority]. Reading the book of Maccabees convicted me to eat biblically clean! That book describes the original abomination of desolation that happened during the Maccabean revolt. Jews were willing to die rather than eat swine!! 😳😳Interestingly enough, the Maccabean revolt is celebrated as the Feast of Dedication [Hanukkah] which Christ celebrated in John 10! If you have any other questions, feel free to message me😃 I recommend watching Greg Hershberg on Getzel. His sermon “Holy cow! Does God really care about what we eat?” Shalom to you!

Thanks for your comment. I actually make mention in this video of another video I have that specifically addresses this passage. Acts chapter 10 records a vision given to Peter in which a great sheet was lowered from Heaven containing a variety of animals Upon seeing this vision, he also heard a voice ordering him, “Rise Peter, kill and eat.” The accounts of this vision are often used as evidence to claim that Jesus abolished the Old Testament dietary laws outlined in Leviticus 11 and that all animals are now free to be eaten. However, a proper understanding of this vision can be gained by simply reading the entire chapter in context and allowing scripture to explain itself. I do hope you’ll taken 13 minutes to check it out and please let me know if I can answer any questions. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIWnco2gbquWg68

According to the New Testament, Christians are not required to follow the Old Testament's dietary laws: Jesus declared all foods clean In Mark 7:17-23, Jesus said that all foods are clean because they enter the stomach and are expelled, not the heart. Peter was told not to reject certain animals In Acts 10:9-16, God told Peter in a vision that he could eat certain animals that were previously considered unclean. Paul wrote that everything God created is good In 1 Timothy 4:4, Paul wrote that everything God created is good and should be received with thanksgiving. Romans 14:17 says the kingdom of God is about righteousness, peace, and joy Romans 14:17 says that the kingdom of God is about righteousness, peace, and joy, not eating and drinking. However, the New Testament does specify some dietary restrictions for Christians, including: Abstaining from food sacrificed to idols, Abstaining from blood, and Abstaining from meat of strangled animals. Paul also recommended using discernment when eating, and said it would be better to never eat meat than to cause another Christian to stumble. but remember. its not a bad thing if you want to subject yourself to dietary laws, and its healthy. and remember don't over eat. Moderation is a good thing..

Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for anyone to make another stumble by what he eats. It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble. The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who has no reason to pass judgment on himself for what he approves. But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin. Romans 14:20‭-‬23 ESV

That in context was dealing with pagan converts and not giving them a hard time for being vegetarians. Eating clean isn't a salvation issue but Jesus said "if you love me, keep my commandments". Sin is the transgression of the law. Unless Jesus did away with sin we need to do our best to follow the commandments. Every commandment exists to keep us healthy and bless us. Stay strong in the faith brothers and sisters

Still out of context. God didn't send His son to die for us to have an expanded menu. What sin is and what was unclean will forever be unclean. God is unchanging. The only thing that Jesus redeemed was gentiles. No nite animal sacrifice after Jesus the lamb of God and no more circumcision for salvation. Again these issues aren't salvation issues but if you love God, you'll keep His commandments.

There are obviously large groups of people who (for example) don't eat pork. Have studies been done on these populations showing that they don't contract various problems or conditions that other groups who eat differently do contract.? It seems to me this would be a good way to prove or disprove various diets and at the same time may point out the cause of many of todays medical problems.

God also told Noah when after the flood, when they were on dry land to kill and eat of the clean animals bird's and fish they had readily available. He never forbid them from eating clean meats since that time and it doesn't surprise me that once we're in our perfected resurrected bodies that we would go back to eating fruit as was done when Adam and Eve when they were still perfect and without sin before the fall.

God not god. Look at Genesis 1:29, in the beginning, God doesn’t change.....Genesis 9:3 was after the fall of man when sin entered the world, and then after the flood, when the vegetation washed away. That is why He gave instructions to eat animals. It was a temporary diet, it intended to be permanent as commanded from the beginning. Look at Daniel’s diet, it shows how it’s optimal for our temple,

God created all creatures and plants. They all have purpose in the earth. Just because our Messiah died for us doesn't mean pigs no longer have 🪱 parasites, or bottom feeders suddenly become clean. They are the clean up crew of the earth. I'm sure if someone invited you to dinner and served you bat, rats or roaches, you'd be disgusted. Just because other nations introduced unhealthy and unclean animals into our diets, doesn't make them food. Jesus' death and resurrection has nothing to do with getting rid of God's design for his children. Peace to you.

The word translated "every" is כל which can also mean "all" of the animal. This is more in line with the context, as God goes on to say not to eat the blood of the animal. Thus, we are able to eat all of the moving animal except for its blood. This would mean that we are not able to eat "every" animal, but "all" of the animal except for its blood. This also lines up with the earlier context, which separates clean from unclean. If there are seven cows the male and its mate, that would make 14 cows. So if Noah ate one cow except for its blood, such would not be a big deal. However, if Noah ate one of the two pigs, the pig would die out without a mate. Thus, the context agrees with this translation. While we should translate based on rules of grammar rather than based on context, since both translations are possible within those rules, we can conclude that the original message was "all" of the moving animal rather than "every" moving animal.

Be ye not unequally yoked. First, I want to humble myself and say I am often corrected, not always right, and there are many folks of other races than myself who are way smarter than me, but there are passages in the Bible which have instructions where the Jews are not to intermarry the sons and daughters of other races. So, in this video, there is one of those snippets where an inter-racial relationship is thrown into the mix. I'm not sure this is appropriate.

I'm a Sabbath keeping Christian -- I'm not sure of the opening statement about the plant based diet before Adam and Eve sinned -- why do we have the teeth system we have if God didn't intend for us to eat meat? We would have all molars if it were plant based. I keep the clean and unclean for over 38 years. I agree and understand. Just currious. R

It's a great question and one that is not uncommon. There are actually a great number of animals in existence now that have a rather intimidating mouth full of teeth that are not meat eaters. Certain fruits, vegetables, and nuts can require specialized teeth to consume. In much the same way the He does with everything, I think the Father designed us according to His wisdom and purpose. I know I've seen articles on the Answers in Genesis website regarding this issue of our teeth and the teeth of various herbivores. You might have a look around there. As to the diet before Adam and Eve sinned, again I would defer to what I believe is a very clear statement made by our Creator himself in Genesis. Genesis 1:29-30 ESV - And God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so.

Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.” For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth-as indeed there are many “gods” and many “Lords”- yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist. However, not all possess this knowledge. But some, through former association with idols, eat food as really offered to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled. Food will not commend us to God. We are no worse off if we do not eat, and no better off if we do. But take care that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak. For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating in an idol’s temple, will he not be encouraged, if his conscience is weak, to eat food offered to idols? And so by your knowledge this weak person is destroyed, the brother for whom Christ died. Thus, sinning against your brothers and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ. Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble. 1 Corinthians 8:4‭-‬13 ESV

Very helpfull video, thank you. I have a question. What you think about full plant based diet? Is it against God's wish? He allowed us to eat some animals meat, but he don't said we must! Before the fall they ate only plant based, because the sin was not there yet. This part is understandable. But after the flood God allowed us to eat animals, but why? I have a theory... He allowed just because after the flood the planet was totally empty. Isn't it? The whole world was under water for months, every plant were perished, there was nothing to eat. Just the animals. How many bees did Noah take to his ark? Not too many. It took very very long time them to pollinate the new little fruit trees, and everything. So God allowed Noah and his family to eat animals to survive this period. But look around, today we have everything to eat, we are no more needed to kill and eat them. Because killing a living thing is a sin. Not just human beings. Remember, we lived together in the Paradise in peace. If we want to live like God's wish, I think we need to do the same things which Adam and Eve did back then, before their fall. This is my theory. what do you think about it? Or anybody else who reads it, please comment something what you think. Thanks! (sorry about my bad English)

@@tns9802 Killing animals without a cause is sin.If a wild animal is charging towards you and you killed it before it killed you, that is not a sin.
