I live in Kansas City. Where they filmed some of the film (the rich “holy” lady and her daughter) and let me tell you they got that Mission Hills lady down.

Random person coming in 4 years later, but I just recently watched it and noticed that the song during the last scene is a song called "God's Whisper" and the lyrics speak greatly to the idea of leading one's own self. Seems to potentially add in to your thoughts here.

Everything can have a meaning. It's seems like an amazing story, I still don't want to watch it, just curious. I was a magazine seller 10 years ago. We all have a story to tell. Each story is different. God bless.

Good observations. I think they made a lot of sense and gave some interesting perspective to the film. Such a great movie!!

Wow what an interesting way to look at this film. I loved this movie the first time I watched it. I remember when I was a kid my older brother moved up north and joined a traveling magazine subscription group just like this and this is how I always imagined it to be. After watching your video I'm definitely going to watch the movie again with what you said in mind.

Good explanation.. It's really hard to understand the last scene.. What is going on.. So explain really good in deep..

I like this read of the film and connection to Jacob, but my only reservation is Star’s utter rejection of god throughout the film. “I hope he comes on himself” and “God’s a cunt, he can go fuck himself” stunts the connection to Star and the angel role within the biblical Jacob story. I do like the connection between Jake and Jacob in the terms of misdirection and manipulation, but I find Star to take on a role similar to a literal Star that is reborn- who implodes on themself and emerges with new light.

Interesting ideas but what does the actual writer have to say about it. Ether way love ❤ this movie 🎥 so much. Took me a long time to watch it because it's almost 3 hours long but it is a great movie and worth watching.

Providing absolutely none of your own personal interpretation makes your comment kinda worthless, guy.
