The biggest thing I’ve notice is that Penny’s bubbly attitude changes through out the years. At the start she was very cheerful then as years go on, she becomes more Sarcastic and less cheerful. I also notice from watching Young Sheldon how similar Penny is to Sheldons meemaw. I can see why Sheldon and Penny were so close now. Her wardrobe changes massively, no more low cut tops and sweatpants. Early Penny seems like a fun college chick, but older Penny evolves into a boring office worker. I guess this the groups influence on her, plus her characters career as she basically grows up on the show. In later episodes it’s like they purposes hide her cleavage. Even my wife noticed the way they toned down her causal yet sexy look. The cute but silly blonde next door deal was too predictable and let’s face it a boring stereotype so the writers made her into a more realistic character as time moved on.

This show is one of the funniest and at times poignant and always perfect entertainment to me. I never get tired seeing the reruns (e.g. one the gem moments was when Amy receives the tiara and shouts"I'm a princess" and the look on Penny's face). So much attention paid to details that came out almost perfectly. The cast is above outstanding and their stage and off-stage friendships made the viewer wish at times that the viewer was in among the cast.

This is far more common in tv than just this show. Its very often that characters are at dinner or a restaurant and don't actually eat the food (unless it's part of the plot). It has a lot more to do with continuity than actually showing them eating. If they have to do multiple takes and the volume of food was constantly changing, it would be a nightmare. sheldon's knocking habit started in S01E03 if i remember correctly

He knocked at least 2 times 1st season, but normal knocking. But the thing is that Sheldon explains to Penny later that the knocking is because of catching his father cheating on his mother, then he started knocking 3 times, so they can put the pants on. Anyway, even if they didn't plan it at first, good that they decided to change it. I love his knocking, we do it with my boyfriend.

Another thing for me that I have to add is this........PERSONALLY I love all the Firefly references to The Big Bang Theory show!!! It killed me to see Nathan Fillion, and Summer Glau both in the show as well!! And Sheldon in about three episodes openly talks about the Fox show FIREFLY on it (that I know of) about three times, once when he talks to Leonard about "betrayal" and why he hates Rupert Murdock, another time when he claims he is using a TIVO to record Firefly episodes because "It will be on forever" and then he lists Firefly in the episode with Summer Glau on it! What can I say I loved Firefly!!

I suppose you thought we wouldn't know that argent meant silver in heraldry (hence the chemical symbol for Silver is Ag for argent). Gold is Or (the symbol for gold is Au and let's not forget Goldfinger's first name Auric). Sheldon would know all of this!

@bighollywoodproducer That is true. The writers did actually twist the personalities of the characters according to their needs. Amy went from being like a robot to being a very emotional person. I know that over time the characters develop but such drastic change is not possible. Sheldon doesn't usually get sexually aroused but somehow does when he wants to have sex on Amy's birthday. They just turn their feelings on and off like there's a switch.

@chetan raina Autistic people HAVE all kinds of emotions, but don’t know how to express them. Sometimes they do learn how, and often they’re still awkward about it. This is what the show was probably trying to portray. But don’t forget this is a comedy show and comedy’s frequent ingredient is exaggeration.

He did face problems while understanding other people's emotions, especially sarcasm, but he was always able to perfectly express his own opinions. Even when others don't want to know what's going on in his mind it still didn't stop him from saying it. So if he really had sexual desires everyone would know about it.

@@chetanraina5649 Amys robotic personality was a defensive mechanism she used as she was socially repressed, on become friends with Penny she was able to break out of it and be herself (yet still keeping her strange idiosyncrasies) and Sheldon is on the asexual spectrum (probably demisexual.)

In the first season, Sheldon was written to have asthma, but that trait was moved off to Leonard later in the show. Sheldons asthma is only mentioned once when Leonard wants to buy a cat. A hypoallergenic one to account for his Sheldons condition.

Having a very serious back surgery was frightening . I could have woken blind or paralyzed or both . With a latex allergy , I was the first one in . When I woke , I could hear everyone but I had such clouded vision . I wasn’t able to speak .i could hear the anesthesiologists calling the doctor over with severe concern for my not coming around . I was still in recover and the last one in there . Eventually my voice came back and my vision too . First words were I can see ! Second sentence was damn , put me back under , I told my son I would be singing soft kitty when I came to! Doctor was concerned , nurse & anesthesiologists both laughed and said she’s gonna be fine !

In the case of Mayim, Leonard actually references her by name and reiterates her neuroscience degree a season before she was introduced. There is also a blooper where they are going on about science (neuroscience in particular I believe) and when they crack up, without being a show-off, Mayim says "You all do realise that I am the only one who truly knows what they're talking about here?" As I am pretty sure, apart from finding out that her interests and degree matched the new character, they used it as a means to make sure any references to neuroscience were authentic. The same went for all the whiteboard calculations being checked over by a proper physicist. The only calculation that was not is the one on the wall, as it is a direct reference to Indiana Jones's chalkboard calculation in "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
