I just stated that I don’t think that him having a ring does not mean she does nit love him and you go basically accusing me of always siding with women and loving a man being a victim. How far fetched is that?! If you just make up anything that fits your perspective then I don’t see how we can come to have a good argumentation. Do not put words into my mouth that I never said and nit even thought. Stop interpreting what you want to hear/read. And as for your argument, just because she was not ready to marry him when he was ready does not mean she does not love him. I really do not like them as a couple but I think claiming that she does not love him,especially with the argument of him loving her, is just not plausible. I do think they are nit right for each other but I do not think love was ever an issue. In this case, it was the right time that was the issue.

topherh33 That one thing: Me automatically being against men because I am a woman. You’re welcome. Also, being in love does not automatically make you ready to be married. My boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years now and we love each other very much and yet we both do not think we are ready to be married. It does not feel right yet. That is why I meant that her not wanting to marry him does not automatically mean she does not love him. And on the subject on why I don’t think they are right for each other: I think they do love each other but they do not cooperate like a married couple should. Penny (clearly) loves Leonard’s personality and his quirks but she does not like it when he is above her in anything and she always makes fun of him and not in a humorous way. She belittles him and makes him feel like he should be grateful to be with her. She has expectations of him that she herself does not have of herself. She expects him to invest 100% into this relationship while giving only 50%. now with Leonard, it’s a different story. He does not have a backbone. He treats Penny like a goddess and still always expects her to leave him. He gives in in every argument they ever have. He is basically her lap dog and he lets it happen. All in all, they both are just not equal. While they are both content with the roles they have been given, it is just nit a healthy relationship. I doubt they both do it consciously and I do believe they truly do love each other but their personalities and their expectations from each other are just so different that they are constantly not on the same page with anything. That is why I dislike them as a couple. but I do not doubt that Penny loves Leonard. I think she loves him a lot but he is literally obsessed with her.

But with the inhalor scene (S05E13) I´m actually a bit undecided, because at the end of the episode it turns out to just having been a phantasy of Leonard´s... Remember? It was in the famous episode 100 - and I totally loved that inhalor move of Penny´s, until at the end, it turns out not to actually have happened... The fact, the writers decided to only let that go on in Leonards mind, I found a bit disappointing, I must admit... But at the end of the day his thoughts kind of encouraged Leonard to give it another try with Penny. So I´m actually fine with that... 😁

This is actually kind of what happened between my husband and I. It was a logical decision, and the best decision we've ever made. But I did look at him and say "so... are we engaged?" "Yeah I guess so." "huh, doesn't feel right." So he paused his video game, and proposed. He didn't have a ring in his wallet, but I started shaking and almost fainted. This is almost how my husband and I got engaged.
