Irrelevant, Sheldon was so socially negligent as to be deliberate, the FBI agent didn't ask him about that specifically so he shouldn't have brought it up. Also Howard didn't break the rover he unknowingly allowed it to be driven into a ditch and it got destroyed

It's interesting how, even though Sheldon sees Howard as an inferior, and clearly believes he's irresponsible, he still sees him as a friend and wants him to achieve his goals. The examples of Howard's irresponsibility he gave were all incidents where Sheldon was directly affected. He only mentioned the Mars Rover incident accidentally, and probably wouldn't have mentioned it had he realized it would prevent Howard from getting security clearance.

Evan Camacho actually I believe your view of Sheldon isn’t accurate,because it was even stated in the show that he is very honest, and it looks like he has some kind of aspenger syndrome, which doesn’t allow him to understand social and emotional tone of the conversations. Therefore, he is quite kind, but does things that could hurt other people without understanding, it was said that the only reason they tolerate him because everybody knows that he doesn’t have any evil intentions, that’s why isn’t a satan . For example, he didn’t turn Leonard with rocket case, so it means that he blabbed these words about mars rover unintentionally. In this situation Howard is totally wrong, and he shouldn’t have access to the secretive things.
