Excellent ride & easily one of the very best layouts on youtube imo.

Wow. Thanks for sharing your layout with us. Obviously a lot of time, thought and energy went into this video. I especially liked the tour at the beginning and the end. The little map inserts through out the video were an excellent touch. Good job. I look forward to more of your work.

Nice ride thank you. 28000 trees oh, my goodness it's a awful lot of raking in the fall.

Loved every minute of this! Quality high end model locomotives of mine would get a decent workout on this layout!

WOW! World Class! Thanks for sharing this wonderful video. Can we see a return trip over the railroad?
@billr9915 жыл бұрын
Thanks cprtrain . You can view an earlier version of the westbound trip at kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3iQiIKCm8qkhrc . I should have a revised, improved westbound trip upload finished in a few weeks. Subscribe if you want to be notified.

I only realized half way through that this isn't actually a mix of steam era and later equipment, but all(most*) of the locomotives shown are appropriate for a late 60s/early 70s session... Sometimes I forget that Black Widow F units and Geeps did serve alongside 2nd gen diesels like GP40s for a brief time. *Tunnel motors are a bit of a stretch, but not entirely out of the realms of possibility

Hello, how do you keep your rails so shiney? Which method,please? Retired Aussie in Peru.
@billr9915 жыл бұрын
Thanks Elena for your interest and your question. Since it's not my layout, they're not my rails. I am a CMRM volunteer that shoots and edits the videos. Other volunteers do the layout maintenance. Consequently, I don't know as much about the layout maintenance as I probably should. I think they use track cleaning cars that run a pad soaked with solvent along the rails.
