Great video as usual Bill. Puts an entirely new perspective on the layout.

Impressive.... Interesting on all the small detail on this layout (ex. The trees) that no one usually thinks about

Better send the hydro crews out - there's lines down (7:57). Great video. Hope to visit the museum this summer.

Probably one of my favorite layouts. Love the signal system. Who makes those signals, and are they available? I love the fact the back of the signal heads are enclosed just like the prototype, and no solder blobs and wires hanging out. I also like the way they have the lunar heads fixed so you know which way you're coming off the main, by the way the lights are staggered. Very nice layout.

Relooking at the video. I was wondering if there are vidoes of the operating sessions? Great potential for prototypical operations!

Great cab ride camera footage. How exactly was this video in the locomotive's cab possible? Was there a little camera that was inserted into the locomotive's cab or something similar?
@railroad90005 жыл бұрын
All of your videos are great! Is the camera mounted within the cab or on a car ahead of the engine?
@billr9915 жыл бұрын
Thank you Bill. The video camera is mounted on a depressed center flatcar pushed ahead of the locomotive. See the end of the eastbound cab ride video ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5anfH-YqMx_gJI ) for more about the camera and camera car. The cab interior image is superimposed on the video from the camera/camera car using Photo Shop and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Thanks Bill, whichever way you want to slice it, either original or revised video, it's still a great video and a great ride. Do love the little vignettes from place to place, um are some of these intended for the kids look and see game ?
@billr9915 жыл бұрын
Thanks Paul. No, a kid's game was not my intention.

@@billr991 Bill, I am so sorry, I did not make my meaning clear. I have never visited the Museum, however, I have been told that there is a children's activity at the Museum in which they have to find various objects in the displays, including the model railroad. Apparently you book/obtain your sheet? at the ticket entrance.
@billr9915 жыл бұрын
@@paulsmith6616 Not to worry. Paul. Your description of the children's activities is correct. However there isn't a connection between that and KZbin videos.

How do you make the cab ride view? Is it a filter?
@jimsteinborn3 жыл бұрын
It's a mask applied over the video, so you're on the right track :-)

Jim Steinborn now tell me how I can get those Masks? Interested for my German locomotives.
@jimsteinborn3 жыл бұрын
Bill made this mask from a photograph I took inside an actual Cabforward locomotive, so I don’t know where you might get one other than having someone to supply you with such a photo and making your own mask from it.
@HoboHeaven3 жыл бұрын
@@jimsteinborn Ah, ok. Thought its a Videofilter I can buy or download. THX

Sorry, no. It’s actually a pretty complicated procedure to do this properly.
