I’m in Florida, we have some little slopes and hills but it’s nothing like you guys. Some of those areas are a nightmare to try and mow, you crush it with ease.

Nice work you're crazy backing down. I just mow across slopes from bottom.

I mow several properties with steep slopes like that, using a zero turn-backing down the hill as well. I have never been able to figure out why these manufacturers cant build a mower that will hold itself back and not “take off” down a hill going forward, but you can back down all day long with no issues. That is warrior style brother

I toyed with the idea of brake discs on the front casters. Once you get pointed where you want it, use the front brake to keep it from running off sliding down the hill. You won’t be able to steer it with the brakes applied but that’s why I said get it pointed where you want it. It would take a lot of fabrication though and I sold the old mower I was going to cut apart to try it. Or you could try an Altoz. But I’ve heard some, let’s call them “interesting”, stories about those.

Very nice work Randal!! Unfortunately can’t go backwards on a stand on down a hill like that. I prefer side to side or at an angle up and down. It’s hard to mow some of these hills. Makes you sweat a little 😂😂

Thanks for doing this video. I agree this is the way to go. I would just have to walk it first to make sure I wasn’t back down then having a hole behind me or mini cliff type situation. I appreciate you doing this video, i follow Ray so i seen that part of this, i think you responded in a very informative and professional way. You could have destroyed the person who suggested going down front first, but you didn’t. i respect that.
