Indoor kites is a brilliant name 😂
@EleanorPeterson3 ай бұрын
2:55 - Indoor kites exist. Yep. Boring but true. They're based on traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Indian fighting kites; very light, thin and flat, they rely on constant movement and line tension to keep them airborne. You need a big building like a sports hall or empty warehouse. Basically, as there's no wind, you have to keep yanking on the string to get them to zoom up, then let the line go slack so that they flutter down - before zooming up again. It's tricky and quite hard work, but actually a lot of fun, especially if you're flying with a couple of mates and trying to knock their kites out of the air. You steer them by waiting till they're pointing the way you want them to go, and tightening the line to get them to fly in that direction. Yes, I really need to get out more. And if I weren't tangled up in all these bloody strings, I would.

One of the last appearances of the clean shaven David Mitchell in an unscripted show (he'd started growing the beard the year before, but he was filming a series of Peep Show around the time of this BFQ's recording, and his character Mark is clean shaven). Quite a noteworthy look for him.

He could take a hint from Lee and do half and half
@antster198310 ай бұрын
@@IgorDefranchi But that would be noteworthy. If you remember the episode (Series 7 Episode 1, filmed about 9 months after this BFQ) David says he prefers to appear not so unnoteworthy that it's noteworthy, like wearing a grey tie. Speaking of grey ties, if you want to see someone wearing something so unnoteworthy that it's noteworthy, watch Sam Campbell in Series 16 of Taskmaster.
