The main reason I prefer Myers Briggs (after they added the turbulent vs assertive) is it’s biased to one side of the spectrum of each trait. It doesn’t balance the pros and cons of each side, which may make people that have the unflavored side to feel inferior when they aren’t.

INFJ here. I took the O.C.E.A.N. Personality test online. It stated that I was High in Openness, High in Conciensiousness, Mid in Extraversion, High in Agreeableness, and Mid in Neuroticism. Interestingly enough, I took another personality test called HEXACO which was similar but a bit more explicit. The results appeared to differ slightly compared to the previous. With the HEXACO test, it stated that I was High in Honesty, Mid to High in Emotions, Mid to Low in Extraversion, Mid to High in Agreeableness, High in Conscientiousness, and High in Openness. Found it it a bit interesting how the Agreeableness component differed to the results from the other test. I think the reason why is because there was a subsection in the test that focused on “Forgiveness” which connected to Agreeableness. I scored Low on that section. So it appears that I’m not a very forgiving person. If I’m pushed in anyway, I will either become passive aggressive, avoidant, or will hold a grudge. (Edit: Need to work on that last one) :P

Howdy Psych2go, I feel three letters of this acronym depends on if we have lived abused or not. C(onscientousness): When I was living with my narcissist, I couldn't even think straight, because of all the trauma. Now that I've escaped I am low in C, before I was high in C. A(greebleness): Basically being an empath vs having narcissist traits. N(euroticism): Giving anyone who had been through trauma, they will have some of those traits. With healing, I am now low on Neuroticism. I like the idea of this test, I just feel a lot of those "personality" factors are to be examined, since it depends if we are currently experiencing trauma or not. Adding my two cents. :)

If I had the tool when I was a kid and not being in a toxic environement, I wound't have been high on Neuroticism. If two kids take the test, one traumatize and not, they would think it's a personality thing based on this test, when it's not it's a factoral thing and they would say, "take meds" which would worsen the issue. Aside from my comment related to this test specifcally, I agree with everything in your coment. My experiences shaped me in the person that I am, and I love myself. It was worth the fire trial. Had to do this for personality psychology. I have extremely high openness 93 I will try most things just because the opportunity presents itself. Medium to high conscientiousnous 61 mostly because I have a schedule for everything I don't want to think about, like what to eat. But I am not a neat person. Medium to high extraversion 62 I'm great with people, it doesn't drain me but I don't like dealing with people because it usually ends up with some problems I need to solve. Extremely low agreeableness 1 I do and get whatever I want, whenever I want and however I want, if manipulating or hurting people will get it faster, I'll do it. And I don't change. It's one of the things some people like me for, I remind them of the past, I'm basically the same person I was when I was 4, just more dangerous. Plus since my goals are mostly just to make my friends happy, they don't mind being manipulated a little. Low neuroticism 25 Well, I'm a psychopath so I don't exactly get anxiety or feel stress. But it's not super low because I am mostly angry at something all the time. Some other scale put my neuroticism much higher I think, it's related to ocean but we didn't take that one since we already did ocean.

I am about 99.99% sure that, as of right now, I am an Ambivert. Some introvert things, I agree with completely. For others, I don't think I've ever really related to at all. It's the exact same thing for extrovert things. I don't like being the center of attention, and depending on the environment I'm in I could be talkative or relatively quiet (sometimes even in environments I'm talkative in, if I feel that people don't care about what I'm saying and can clearly tell they aren't listening, I may get quieter for a bit). I love going out to school, seeing my friends, and honestly wish I could spend more time with my friends outside of school. However, I also love being alone at the right times. I wouldn't say people drain me, but if I'm at school and around people I don't like, it'll drain my tolerance. While I can be talkative, I'm relatively reserved and get extremely uncomfortable when I have to answer more personal questions (like religion, culture, etc.) rather than just stuff like test/quiz questions. If it's not an either kinda vague or school related question, I get very evasive and try to avoid it. Sometimes my Advanced Studies teacher (who is also my soccer coach and was my track coach last year) asks me religion and culture questions, and I force myself to answer for the sake of it being from an adult. If it's from another student, you most likely won't get a direct answer from me. Unrelated to my original ramble, but about openness, does anyone else often switch between concrete and abstract ideas? I think about facts, of course, we can't live without them, but I also often think about the future, the past, what could be, and what could've been.

Any other extroverted HSP’s who relate to being extremely extroverted and hating being Al one while also hating peoples sometimes with no middle ground? Either I’m currently in a large social situation or I’m coming off the sensory imput high from a social situation. No in between. But o mean I think it’s fair that after a social situation I need downtime considering this is what I get from a social situation of just 5 people other than myself Extra loud sounds that are easily overwhelming Lots of sights that are new and need processing more so then most people SO MANY GOD DAMN SMELLS NOBODY NOTICES The complex texture of each surface i wind up touching The flavor of each thing I eat that’s new. (HSP’s have higher levels of sensitivity to input from your 5 senses as well as emotional) After I’ve absorbed sudden shock of entering a new building and experiencing all the new input from that I start feeling whatever feeling is appropriate for the situation *very strongly* then I look over at my friends and the empathy kicks in and I start feeling all five emotions of theirs. So basically I’m feeling all input from my 5 senses on steroids and the emotions of 6 different people. So yes I’m fucking tired after a social event and can be mistaken as introverted in those moments.

not really. its similar to 16Personalities, BUT 16personalities isn't exactly fully MBTI. MBTI uses cognitive functions, not just letters, rather than the traits in Big5/OCEAN. hoped that clears things up.
