It's nice that everyone shows the new functions, but unfortunately no one shows the really important things. Maybe you can submit it later. Can you finally move and copy automations? How does it look when recording mute and solo commands. Just muted machine or do you get an automation that you can work with? What about the lock function? Can you record this live performance now? What about the patterns and clips? Are the clips still there or are they finally gone again?

@ it’s true, it’s good we have v3 now, but I was expecting more. My Studio and Jam are packed it the box, and this update did not change it I’m afraid. I have SpectraLayers from Steinberg for stem separation, and probably some Izotope RX plugin with complete ultimate (haven’t checked), which is doing the same thing. I have much more control over MIDI in Cubase and Bitwig, not to mention advanced parameter automation. I remember 15 years ago working with Maschine - it was really enjoyable then, and it is still probably, but there is so many things I can do faster elsewhere (Bitwig)…

I use Logic Pro prob 90% of the time and fiddle with Maschine for fun, but now that Maschine 3 got an update to Link protocol to Sync Start/Stop between both apps simultaneously, I can build drum parts, basslines, and melodies in Maschine 3 standalone with all the cohesiveness and great kit sounds, while recording vocals and manipulating audio in Logic Pro, but both timelines/playback stay in perfect sync. I show this super briefly in the video at 17:04 👍🏻

In Maschine it’s Pref > General > Link then click Enable & Sync Start Stop In Logic just right-click the Control Bar > Customize Control Bar > Select Sync Then it shows up in the Control Bar, you can click it to enable Link. Then right-click and choose “Transmit Start/Stop” Luna, not sure. Maybe if they support Ableton Link. This is the protocol that allows apps to communicate with each other and stay in sync. Some DAWs and a lot of apps on the market have it.
