That's not how spearfishing works lol the spear itself pops off with a bobber it doesn't stay connected to the gun in situations like with fish that big.

@@thewhodat2314not in all situations I’ve been diving with buoys connected to the spear, and normal spearguns and ones with reels depending on where I’m diving, this guy could have been using a normal speargun suited for medium sized fish and got surprised by this tuna and wasn’t prepared, personally I would shoot since that tuna got so close you could easily hit the dead spot even if you didn’t since it’s so close you can grab the spear and direct the Tunas head upwards and kind of wrestle it up if you have the strength.
