The present govt consistently working hard to bring changes in our system, carry out structural reforms & bring thorough development of our country, this budget is one of the effective exercises in that direction... 2 Big announcement made in the budget r highlights of the budget (1) proposal to give MSP to farmers which is 1.5 times the input cost borne by them, this is one of the most salient recommendations made by Swaminathan commission report (2) Announcement of National Health Protection scheme- giving 10 cr families insurance cover up to 5 lakh rupees per year per family for secondary tertiary health care coverage.. The question being raised how to finance these proposals since adequate provisions r not made to realise these schemes? answer is quite clear Govt is mooting on various mechanisms to finance these initiatives like subsuming of all preset insurance schemes into one scheme, Giving this scheme status of Centrally Sponsored Scheme where share of the expenditure will be borne by centre & state in ratio of 60:40 could be one of the ways, cess cap is raised, LTCG tax will also give extra money..so mechanisms will be formulated to meet the requirements of the schemes.... kudos to govt for this visionary yet manageable budget 👍👍
