Paige is Adorable! I love her creative imagination. I bet Lucas is teething right now, which always makes them extra clingy to mama.

The lyrics at the end "I'm Lovin This Moment.." say it all. The time you spend playing with the kids when they are little and love the mommy time, is well spent! You may have seen this but there is a saying "Dust go to sleep, I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep". Enjoy these 'moments' as it goes by too fast. In five years they'll all be at school all day and you'll be wondering what am I supposed to do? lol Grandpa had a lovely birthday with the grandkids!

Happy day. One way to help Lucas not hit is be firm and consistent in your no and tell him if he is going to chose to not be gentle when you have asked then you are going to go do something else. But you then have to actually follow up and do as you say. After just a couple of times you will see big improvements. You can also get him something that is ok to hit and kick so he has an outlet when he is feeling "aggressive" that's not you or Austin or his sister's or maple. Helped my brother when we were growing up. I also enjoyed getting to hit the small punching bag 🙂. He seems like a very smart little guy. Good luck ❤.

You should get a balloon pump so it's super easy to blow up balloons! And I have 3 kids and always taught "gentle hands," especially having pets! My 21 month old has trouble from time to time, but it helps a lot!

When it comes to Lucas hitting you I think the best way to tackle it is to say "No thank you, that hurts me. You need to be gentle" Then show him how you would do it gently. If he keeps hitting you then you can try fake crying as if he has truly really hurt you and then if he shows that he is feeling sorry / guilty then you can then tell him that your crying because he hit you which isn't nice and that you would like him to stop hitting you and give you a hug and say sorry. Then if that doesn't work then you can try saying "No hitting mum or anyone it's not nice. Do you want something that you can hit instead?" Then if he says yes you can then get him a toy drum or a cooking pot and tell him and show him that he can hit that instead of hitting you. I hope that this helps you and others struggling it is a tricky 1 😊❤

My little guy just turned 2. When he starts getting aggressive like that I take his hands and tell him no thank you, use gentle hands please. Then I’ll take his hands and mimic gentle touching so it’s more than just words. It seems to work for him more than just saying no.

With my son (hitting), I would grab his hand and say gentle, then show him how to touch gentle… put his hand on me softly etc. if he KEPT hitting me I would set him on the floor. He would cry, but I would say, “Mommy can’t hold you if you’re hurting mommy. You have to be GENTLE.”
@amidthephantomsrose4 ай бұрын
we do the same thing with our son. We say "gentle hands" and show him. If he keeps hitting we say "no, that hurts mommy. Or sissy, " insert whoever. If he continues we then put him down and say "you will not continue to hurt momma. If you do, you will sit in the naughty chair for x amount of time and think about what you did." We do a lot of suggestions from super nanny. In the end it's about letting him know that we have boundaries and that there are consequences to his actions.

@@amidthephantomsrose I used to watch Jo Frost as Supernanny all the time and I didn't even have any kids. I taught school though and wished she had tips for large groups!

It’s her kids. Let her handle it!
@amidthephantomsrose4 ай бұрын
@@nancyfarkas3592 definitely, it is her kids and she can and will handle it as she sees fit. I think people were commenting because she asked the question "how do you get him to stop?" When he smacked her chest. So people take that as an open invitation to give advice.

My little guy is a couple months older than Lucas and was doing the same thing and still does occasionally but when he hits I stop the action and show him how to use gentle hands instead and I say "We are gentle to other bodies with our body, gentle hands please." It seems to be slowly helping with some repetition for us. Maybe worth a shot 🤷🏻♀️

When my boys used to hit me I would cry out… ow then put him quietly on the floor and ignore him for a couple of minutes. They soon learned that if they hit anyone they would be without attention. Xjojoxx

Lucas is very much like my sin Luke. I think that they actually are not that far a part in age actually. Lol. Bitbhe is definitely a mommy's boy and wants to be on me and with me constantly. He's very different from his older sister
@dmlouer4 ай бұрын
I told you right from the git go he was gonna be a mamas boy. They always are. The hitting is the rough and tumble. Have Austin rough with him and tell him its ok to be rough with dad but not with mom. You gotta nip that in the bud or it will only get worse as he gets into the terrible twos.
@brendateague91114 ай бұрын
Austin is the reason Lucas hits. He’s always played with him like that. When he stops, and Lucas doesn’t get a reaction from him, it’ll stop. They all go through that. And, yes, boys are WAY different than girls. lol 🩵💙 But, you wouldn’t trade them for the world.
@strawberrysoymilkshake4 ай бұрын
Playing rough and pretend hitting and actually hitting mum are two totally different things. You're whack 😂
